Pioneer Memorial Library Bringing Words to Life!

This library continues to thrive because of the grass-root pioneer spirit that exists within its citizens who value and use their library. It is a tribute to the heritage of many through the years who have had a vision to make their community a place where learning is desired and recreational reading and enjoyment can be shared.

👻 Legend Has It... Librarians Never Really Leave the Stacks!
It’s a known fact that when librarians pass into the afterlife, we don’t go haunting spooky mansions—we just haunt the library (and apparently take group field trips to rustic barns)! 🍂🌾
We gathered the ghostly spectral crew together for an autumn photo op, but librarians are notoriously good at hiding... and a few sneaky phantoms are playing hide-and-seek! 🕵️‍♀️

📚 Stories That Bring Us Together | Cuentos que Nos Unen📚

Join us on Tuesday, October 13 at 6:30 PM for a very special Family Night Storytime featuring a virtual visit from author Chogrin Muñoz, creator of the bilingual picture book Kid del Toro.

Families will enjoy a storytime experience celebrating bilingual books, creativity, courage, and the power of storytelling. We'll hear from Chogrin live from California and learn more about the book that introduces young readers to an unexpected friendship inspired by the childhood of filmmaker Guillermo del Toro.

This free event is designed for children and their families and will include opportunities for fun, learning, and community as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month together.

Join us on Wednesday, October 7 at 12:00 PM (noon) for an engaging conversation with local veterinarian Dr. Elizabeth Flax! Dr. Flax will share some of her behind-the-scenes experiences as a veterinarian, including stories from her time at the Lee Richardson Zoo. 🐶🐱🐰
