In 2023, a surprise grant check was delivered to the Thomas County Amusement Association during Random Acts of Kindness Week. Shown were board members and volunteers that helped throughout the year. We appreciate what they do to create core memories for our county!

We are incredibly humbled and grateful to receive a $25,000 grant from the John and Joyce Hansen Family Donor Advised Fund through the Thomas County Community Foundation (TCCF).

This gift means so much more than a dollar amount. It means that someone who is struggling with their mental health but doesn’t have insurance—or doesn’t have the financial resources to access care—can still have a place to turn.

A portion of this funding will also allow our therapists to pursue specialty trainings, helping us grow our knowledge and bring additional evidence-based and specialized services back to the people we serve. Investing in our therapists means investing directly in the individuals, families, and communities we have the privilege of walking alongside.

As a rural mental health agency, we see every day how difficult it can be for people to access the care they need. This generous support helps remove one more barrier.

Thank you for helping us make sure that financial circumstances don’t have to determine whether someone gets the mental health care they need. We are honored to put this gift to work and make a difference, one person at a time. 💙

TCCF co-hosted the Business After Five in 2010 with The Loft, which used to be located above Starbucks at the Oasis Travel Center.

In honor of National Dog Day, we are sharing a picture from 2023 when TCCF granted funding for pet food. A ministry of the Colby United Methodist Church. There are still needs and with the new pet shelter, Noah's Ark, being developed, we encourage our dog lovers to consider donating to this new facility. There is a fund set up for Noah's Ark or you may give directly to them.

We are still smiling from Saturday night! Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. Getting to reflect on where we started and looking forward to where we are going is something we will never take for granted. Cheers to the next 25 years!
