Have you ever stopped to think about who makes all of this possible?

The Thomas County Amusement Association is proud to recognize the individuals, families, businesses, and organizations whose support helps us continue improving our fairgrounds and providing fun for our community.

That’s why we’re excited to unveil our newly updated Wall of Support! Located where the previous wall stood, it features updated recognition for those who have helped make our mission possible.

The wall was installed a couple of weeks ago, and we realized we never properly shared it. Today, we’d simply like to say thank you to everyone who supports the Thomas County Amusement Association.

The Tilt-A-Whirl is back in Colby and looking better than ever!

Freshly painted and ready for a new chapter, we’ll be working over the coming weeks to get it reassembled as we prepare for the 2026 Thomas County Fair.

This project has taken a lot of support from our community, and there’s still work to do. If you’re interested in volunteering your time, helping with the restoration, or supporting the project in any way, we’d love to hear from you.

The Thomas County Amusement Association meets regularly to conduct association business. Meetings are held at the Thomas County 4-H Building at the Thomas County Fairgrounds, located at 1100 West Cedar in Colby, Kansas.

This month’s meeting will be held Thursday, April 16th at 6:00 p.m.

These meetings are open to the public, and community members are encouraged to attend.

Another great update on our Tilt-A-Whirl restoration!

Pro Blast of Texas has the car tracks blasted, repaired, welded, blasted again, and now primed with Macro Pro 646 from Sherwin-Williams. This is a huge step forward as we get closer to paint and bringing the ride back to life.

We appreciate their hard work and thank everyone for your patience—can’t wait to have this back in Thomas County looking better than ever!

Pro Blast of Texas has officially begun work on the Tilt-A-Whirl restoration project!

We’re excited to see this ride transformed with a fresh new look and can’t wait to showcase it at the upcoming season. This project is another step forward in enhancing the experience at the Thomas County Fairgrounds.

Thomas County Carnival – 2026 Volunteer Opportunities

January is here, and with the new year comes new plans for the Thomas County Carnival!

As usual, we plan to operate Tuesday through Saturday of Fair Week.
This year’s carnival will run July 28 – August 1.
