PVCYM Youth Center - Clinton, IN PVCYM Youth Center is a place that you can come to, to hang out, get a snack, meet friends, play games & just relax.

Here is an explanation of how our hours work: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday night's hours are designated for the 6th-12th grade group. Saturday nights are open to the family as a whole (please nobody under 12 without an adult!) We'd love to see families come in and enjoy the time together! *Also, if any 5th grade students would like to come in and " try it out" they can do that on Saturday nights

, as long as they are at least on the fifth grade level and mature enough to abide by the rules they can come in without parents on Saturday nights only. This gives them the chance to get to know the place and us before next year when they could be spending a lot more time here. We are a 501c3 non-profit & non-denominational group who wants to share the love of God with ALL youth! We are not here to force our beliefs on you, only show God's love by being there for you! We can't do this alone but need the community to help out - We truly believe in the concept that if a lot of people will give just a little, great things can be accomplished!!!

OBEY THE SPIRIT

Do not quench the Spirit.

1 THESSALONIANS 5:19

God has been speaking to you. The Holy Spirit - who came to indwell when you accepted Jesus as Savior is continually leading you to grow in your faith. He communicates God's will and plan to you. But often, you'll find that what He's saying requires faith and is therefore difficult to accept. This is why today's verse admonishes you not to quench how He's working in your life.

To quench means "to extinguish," such as when there's a fire. You stifle the work of the Holy Spirit when you reject His plan because it doesn't make sense to you or doesn't fit your priorities. For example, one of the ways you quench God's Spirit is when you ignore His call to spend time with Him. You feel Him drawing you, but instead you
say, "I'll do it tomorrow - there's too much to do today."

But understand, that causes the feelings of unrest you cannot get rid of - you're actually experiencing the battle between your will and the Holy Spirit. And if you want your peace to return, the only choice is to conform your will to His. You must obey His leading. So do it! Agree with God in faith and embrace the plan He created you to enjoy.

Jesus, bring to mind all the ways I've quenched the Spirit that I may obey You now. Amen.

My hope is in Jesus because He leads me by His Spirit with perfect wisdom.
