📢 Attention High School Seniors! Summer is ending, but your future is just beginning. NOW is the time to start your Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship application.

Deadline: September 1

The Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship program will provide full-tuition scholarships to one Vermillion County high school senior for four years of undergraduate study at an accredited Indiana college or university. We’re here to help—reach out with any questions!

The Vermillion County Community Foundation is pleased to award a $4,000 grant to Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry to support their Meat4Forks program, which helps bring much-needed meat to families facing food insecurity across Vermillion County.
Through partnerships with local farmers, 4-H groups, and meat processors, Meat4Forks turns donated livestock into ground meat packages. These are then distributed to local food pantries, ensuring that the meat reaches those who need it most.

The Vermillion County Community Foundation has awarded a $12,000 grant to the Ivy Tech Foundation to help Vermillion County high school students earn college credit while still in high school.

The grant will fund Ivy Tech dual-enrollment courses for North and South Vermillion students. These courses allow students to take college classes before they graduate from high school, helping them save both time and money as they work toward a college degree.

Students who qualify must be enrolled in dual credit courses at a high school in Vermillion County and be making progress toward completing a credential. To see if you qualify, students can contact Ivy Tech Terre Haute/Greencastle at 812-299-1121 or connect with a College Connection Coach in the high school when the school year resumes.

The Vermillion County Community Foundation is proud to award a $25,000 grant to the Vermillion County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) to purchase new automated external defibrillators (AEDs) for fire departments across Vermillion County.

This funding will help equip local fire departments with standardized AEDs that are compatible with the county's ambulance service, allowing emergency responders to work together more efficiently during medical emergencies.
