Leadership Vermillion County
Graduates Class of 2026
The 2026 class of Leadership Vermillion County recently celebrated completion of the program with a graduation celebration. The event brought together LVC participants from the previous nine cohorts, providing an opportunity for recent LVC participants to network with program alumni. The evening was catered by Gerries in Clinton.
The Leadership Vermillion County program, launched in 2015, is a collaborative effort among Purdue Extension Vermillion County and several Vermillion County businesses and nonprofit organizations, and utilizes the Purdue Extension Community Leadership curriculum. The twelve-session program provides an opportunity for participants to learn more about the history of Vermillion County, their personality style through the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, Interpersonal Communication, Conflict, Education and Workforce Development, Economic Development and Quality of Place, Cultural Awareness, County Government, Team Building, Nonprofit Boards, Effective Meetings, and Health in our Community. The sessions were either led by a trained facilitator, or included a panel discussion of local experts on specific topics.
Sessions were held in various locations throughout Vermillion County, including the 4-H Community Building, Elanco Clinton Labs, Clinton Public Library, Duke Energy, Vermillion County Jail, Vermillion County Health Department, Vermillion County Courthouse, Mastec, and Valley Professionals Community Health Center. Several of the host sites employ individuals who have graduated from the Leadership Vermillion County program.
The LVC program is proud to have 114 alumni. Leadership Vermillion County is grateful for the financial support of several local businesses and organizations, as well as the generosity of the meeting hosts providing space for the group.
