The Western Indiana Community Foundation is seeking a Scholarship Program Officer to manage WICF's scholarship program across Fountain and Vermillion counties. This position oversees the Community Foundation’s scholarship program by managing the application and award process for more than 100 scholarship funds, including the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship.

Responsibilities include managing scholarship processes, supporting applicants and selection committees, maintaining scholarship systems, increasing outreach efforts, and building relationships with donors and partners.

Vermillion County Nonprofits: Do you have a project you've been wanting to tackle but haven't had the time, staff capacity, or resources to move forward?

The Leadership Academy of West Central Indiana is seeking nonprofit organizations to partner with as part of its Legacy Project program.

Examples of projects could include strategic planning, program development, volunteer recruitment initiatives, community needs assessments, marketing plans, and more.

A Letter of Intent is due by June 30. Organizations selected through the initial process will be invited to submit a full application.

Don't forget that Adventure Kits are available to check out at our local libraries through a partnership with the Wabash River Blueway and our local libraries.
With a library card, you can check out a kit for one week and explore topics such as:

🐦 Bird Identification
🐟 Waterlife Identification
🐾 Animal Tracks & S**t
🧭 Wayfinding

These hands-on kits are a great resource for families, students, and anyone interested in learning more about the outdoors while exploring local parks, trails, and waterways.

Adventure kits can be found at the Attica, Veedersburg, Covington, Kingman, Newport, Clinton, West Lebanon, and Williamsport libraries! Stop by your local library to learn more 🌞

🇺🇸 Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday with a Vermillion County Fair Contest! 🇺🇸

We are excited to partner with the Celebrate America in Vermillion County Committee and our Pay-Back Day Scholarship recipients to host a special contest for Vermillion County students in grades K–12 on Saturday, June 13!

Students can showcase their creativity and patriotism through age-appropriate contests, including:
⭐ Coloring Contest (Grades K–4)
📸 Photography Contest (Grades 5–8)
🇺🇸 Patriotic Person in America Project (Grades 9–12)

Entries will be accepted on Saturday, June 13, from 9 a.m.–12 p.m. at the 4-H Building during the Vermillion County Fair. Winners will receive ribbons and prizes, and all entries will be displayed in the America 250 Celebration Room!

We encourage families, teachers, and community members to help spread the word and celebrate this historic milestone with our local students.
