The Troy Metro Symphony Orchestra's Woodwind Quintet will be performing a concert in the CHAPEL at Troy Historic Village on Tuesday, September 8th at 7:30 PM. Admission to the Village is free, and donations for the concert are very much appreciated.
The quintet will be performing repertiore from three time periods: Classical (Reicha Wind Quintet, Op. 88, No. 1), Romantic (Klughardt Wind Quintet, Op. 79), and 21st Century (Kubugam Kakaruk by Maria Lord-Kniveton).

FOUR more days to send in your audition videos! We are so excited by the submissions so far and can't wait to welcome a new flutist to TMSO later this month!

TMSO has a *RARE* opening for an assistant principal flutist, beginning in the Fall 2026 Season. Virtual auditions are due August 10th.

Our friends at Detroit Medical Orchestra are having some Summer Sight-Reading sessions open to all musicians! More details in the link.

Did you know that there's a chance to join with other musicians to play exciting classical music this summer? We are just about 1 week away from our 1st sight-reading session on Sunday, July 19th!

We are especially looking for oboe, trumpet, tuba, percussion, and harp. String players are always encouraged. Still, everyone is welcome!
