💙 A photo that says so much about what we do.

Last year at Running with a Mission, a Crossroads resident stood alongside our Crossroads program manager—two fathers connected by a shared belief that transformation is possible.

Before the race began, residents arrived early to help set up. Among them was Dashon, a devoted father determined to build a brighter future for his children. After helping prepare for the event, he laced up his shoes and completed the 5K.

Today, he has graduated, has a job and a place to call home for his young children.

His story is a reminder that lives are changed through hard work, faith, and the support of people who walk alongside others every step of the way.

Our new rooms are filled with 11 children and their mothers.

Each room filled quickly, and families were welcomed with open arms and Christ-centered, compassionate care.

Today, we are blessed to serve our new families and walk alongside each mother and child.

We are truly grateful for every person who helps us make room for more families.❤️

Thank you to Cleveland 19 News, News 5 Cleveland and Fox 8 News for sharing the story and the growing need for shelter in our community.

From serving families to jumping into every project with enthusiasm, this group embraced every opportunity to make a difference at Laura's Home.

One special project? Creating decorations for our upcoming Talent Show, helping make the event even more memorable for the children and families we serve.

Volunteers like these help create moments that remind families they are surrounded by a caring community and the love of Christ.

Looking for a meaningful way to serve? Gather your family, friends, coworkers, church group, or team and spend a day making an impact. We'd love to welcome you!

❤️ A van full of generosity and a powerful reminder of what community can accomplish together.

After speaking at a event on July 18, the congregation responded with incredible generosity, donating nearly 300 pairs of shoes!

Before finding their way to residents, each pair was carefully cleaned, freshly laced, sorted by size, and prayed over by volunteers who wanted every recipient to know they are cared for and supported.

What started as a donation drive became so much more than a collection of shoes. It became an opportunity to walk alongside families, meet a practical need, and share the love of Christ in a meaningful way.

We are deeply grateful to Grace Church and everyone who contributed to this effort. Your generosity will help provide comfort, confidence, and encouragement with every step.👟❤️

Interested in partnering through a donation drive, volunteer project, or group service opportunity? We'd love to connect.

Today we are blessed to share the walk of a current resident gifting every man living at Crossroads with something special.

It may seem small to so many of us who have our everyday needs, but to a man coming to our doors with just the clothes on his back, this can be the first step to be believing someone cares.❤️

We are incredibly grateful for Hanes and their generous gift of 1000 pairs of socks to bless the residents we serve.

"Another party?!" 🎉

With wide eyes and unmistakable delight, a sweet boy responded with those two words after hearing about our Back to School Bash.

Thanks to your generosity, every child at Laura's Home received the supplies needed to start the school year strong!

Whether preparing for a first day of kindergarten or walking through the doors of a new high school after a season of crisis, each child heard the same message: You are important. You are loved. And you are not alone.

But the day was about so much more than backpacks.

A red carpet was rolled out. Names were announced by a DJ. Cheers filled the room. Carnival games, face painting, cotton candy, and special surprises turned a back-to-school event into a celebration of each young life.

Through every smile, every cheer, and every act of generosity, Christ's love was made visible.

Thank you for helping create moments that do more than meet needs.

Because of you, children left with more than school supplies. They left knowing an entire community is cheering them on. ❤️🎒📚

"They do all of this without any charge to us. They want to help us, people they have no knowledge of. They want to help."

Last year, he attended Running With a Mission as a resident in our Crossroads program.

As he watched runners, volunteers, and supporters come together to help people they had never met, he was deeply moved.

That moment stayed with him and he found more than shelter and support.

He found people who encouraged him, challenged him, and walked alongside him every step of the way.

"They took me by the hand and showed me how to do much better. They always made time for me."

Today, we're celebrating how far he's come.

He has graduated from our program, secured employment, found stable housing, and continues to grow in his faith. What once felt impossible is now reality.

"What you see today is the true work of God. I give all praises and honor to Him."

Stories like this are why we run.

On September 12, every participant in our 1-Mile Walk and 5K Run helps provide hope, support, and opportunities for men, women and children working toward a new beginning.

Join us for Running With a Mission and help make more stories like this possible.
