Our work across Cleveland communities means we see how policies function in practice – for families, Lead Safe workers and property owners.
At our recent Convening, the Coalition approved five recommendations to strengthen the City of Cleveland’s Lead Safe Certification law. These suggested changes, developed by the Policy Committee with input from stakeholders, are intended to support the law while helping ensure it remains clear, practical and effective for the people it’s designed to protect. The city moved quickly to adopt the first of these recommendations – appointing a Lead Safe Ombudsperson – and has posted the job opening as well as an opening for Program Coordinator for Lead Accountability. View open positions at: LeadSafeCLE.org/CityJobs 💼
With this growing momentum, the Coalition and our partners will continue working toward a future when every child in Cleveland has the opportunity to grow and thrive in a Lead Safe home.
