To support children through and beyond their parent’s cancer with innovative, fun-filled programs that foster a lasting community.

Camp Kesem Greater Cleveland was founded in 2013 and supports children in the Northeast Ohio community by providing free two weeks of summer camp experience and year-round peer support. Camp Kesem at Greater Cleveland is operated by 180 student volunteers and serves 125 campers ages 6-18 per year. Camp Kesem is a federally registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. We appreciate your donations and fundraising. Please note that while fundraising through Facebook supports our cause on a national level, these gifts cannot be designated directly to our chapter at this time.

Presenting our talented TREASURER!! From tracking expenses to balancing the budget, Orion keeps our finances on track and helps us reach our fundraising goals to make camp the best it can be! 💫💫

Here is why he Kesems: I Kesem for the impact that it has on all of the kids we serve. Getting to be a counselor showed me first hand the incredible impact we have on the kids lives and how a week at camp can create true long lasting frienships and reminds them that they have a space where they’re understood.

Here is why she Kesems: I Kesem for the kids and families whose lives we are able to make a difference in. These kids are some of the strongest people I’ve ever met, and watching them come out of their shell and find their place in this amazing community is such a special thing to witness.

Here is why she Kesems: I Kesem for the experience we are able to give each camper. Seeing campers arrive at camp and completely immerse themselves in the Kesem space is something so magical. Watching them build friendships, try new things, and feel comfortable being themselves is truly so special.

Our first MTM coordinator, Jasmine!! 🧞‍♂️

Here is why she Kesems: I Kesem for the amazing campers, the mission, and my grandpa. Cancer affects the whole family, not just the patient, and I want to be part of a community that gives children affected by a parent’s cancer a space to feel understood, supported, and safe. I also love that while we support our campers, we also get to learn from their resilience, strength, and ability to find joy despite hardship.

Here is why she Kesems: I Kesem because I grew up seeing the lasting impact that a community like Kesem can have. My family is involved with a nonprofit with a similar mission, which my cousins participated in growing up. They are now two of my biggest role models, and seeing the people they have become has shown me how meaningful that kind of support and community can be.
