GC has received an update from the Nepali ministry partners and local missionaries serving on the ground:

Local leaders shared that three churches have been destroyed. The official numbers of those killed and missing are far below the actual numbers at this time. The leaders do not yet know how many people in their villages and surrounding communities have been killed or remain missing. As the floods swept through, many people scattered and fled into the mountains to escape the devastation. Communication remains extremely difficult, making it nearly impossible to account for everyone.

Our missionaries are now trying to make their way to morgues and hospitals to locate and assist members of their church families who may have been affected. There are also concerns that another avalanche could trigger additional flooding or a similar disaster. The government has prohibited travel to the affected areas and is conducting relief efforts primarily by helicopter because of the dangerous conditions and inaccessible roads.

GC will be sending support to help our local missionaries, believers, and affected families as they respond to the destruction, damage, and displacement caused by this disaster. We pray that this support will provide practical help and encouragement in Christ to those who are suffering during this very difficult time.
Please join us in prayer for Nepal:
• Pray for those who have lost loved ones, homes, and livelihoods.
• Pray for those who are still missing and for families waiting for news.
• Pray for the safety of our missionaries, local leaders, and rescue workers.
• Pray for those working to provide food, shelter, medical care, and other essential assistance.
• Pray for wisdom and protection as relief efforts continue.
• Pray for strength and hope for the many families facing unimaginable loss.

Please continue to pray for Nepal and for our church family serving in the midst of this devastating disaster.

On August 26th, Nepal experienced a heartbreaking natural disaster as devastating flash floods swept through the districts of Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and Dhading. Homes and settlements along the riverbanks were swept away, while roads, bridges, markets, schools, security facilities, and other infrastructure suffered extensive damage and destruction.

The death toll continues to rise rapidly, with more than 380 deaths confirmed and more than 1,200 people still reported missing. However, these numbers are believed to be significantly lower than the actual toll. The full extent of the devastation is still being assessed as rescue and relief efforts continue.

16 local missionaries are living and serving in the affected areas. Their communities have lost homes, livelihoods, and loved ones, while many families have been displaced and are facing an uncertain future. Communication has been extremely difficult, as phone lines and roads have been cut off in many locations. We will continue to update our GC family on any news we recieve.

GC is working to send support to our local missionaries, believers, and families. Please join us in prayer for everyone suffering through this horrific disaster.

Missionary D asks for prayer for the printing and distribution of the Kurdish Sorani New Testament. Many believers and seekers long to read God's Word in their heart language, and printed copies remain an essential tool for discipleship, evangelism, and spiritual growth throughout Kurdistan.

“My name is Mangli, and I am the mother of two sons. Every day, I work hard to provide for my family and care for their needs. I was raised in a Buddhist family and devoted myself to practicing Buddhism. I respected the monks, offered food to them, and faithfully participated in Buddhist ceremonies and religious activities. I sincerely tried to live a good life according to the beliefs I had been taught.

A few weeks ago, I attended a house church service for the first time. That day, the local GC missionary preached from 1 John 1:9: "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." As I listened, those words deeply touched my heart. I realized that no matter how many good works I tried to do, I still needed true forgiveness and a heart made clean.
That message changed my life. I came to understand that Jesus loves me personally and gave His life for my sins. That day, I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior. Now my entire family believes in Him, and our home is filled with peace, joy, and hope.

Today, I live for Christ. I no longer seek salvation through my own efforts but trust completely in His grace. I want others to know the love of God and the forgiveness that is found in Jesus. My life has been transformed, and I am grateful that God called me out of darkness and into His marvelous light.”

Through The Jesus Project, Native missionaries continue to faithfully share the Gospel in the remote tribal regions of Pakistan by showing the Jesus Film in the local languages. These outreaches bring entire communities together to witness the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, often giving many their very first opportunity to hear the message of salvation. We rejoice that many have responded in faith and accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
As our partnered ministry continues to show the film across several villages, we ask you to pray for God's protection and for open hearts among those who hear the Gospel.

Please pray that missionaries can meet their medical and spiritual needs. The Balkar reside in remote areas where access to medical care is limited. Please pray that the Lord will equip missionaries and medical teams to meet their physical needs while also sharing the hope of the Gospel and caring for their spiritual needs.

In 2025, God's Child was blessed to support and sustain 10 free medical clinics throughout the remote villages of West Bengal. Our ministry partners operate these clinics in communities where many families live in poverty, and the nearest hospital is often an expensive boat ride away, making healthcare inaccessible for many. These clinics provide free medical care, medications, and essential supplies to those who would otherwise go without treatment. Beyond meeting physical needs, each clinic also serves as a ministry opportunity, allowing our native missionaries to share the hope and love of Jesus Christ with every patient who walks through the door.

Thank you to our GC donors who have faithfully supported our native missionaries and the medical clinic project!

Our missionary teams continue faithfully sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through evangelistic visits, prayer meetings, Bible studies, and discipleship in communities where many have never heard the name of Jesus. Through these outreach efforts, men, women, and families are hearing the message of salvation for the first time, and many are joyfully receiving Bibles they have never had access to before. Their gratitude and eagerness to learn more about God's Word are a powerful reminder of the spiritual hunger that exists among the unreached.

We praise God for these open doors to proclaim His love and truth, and we are deeply thankful for your prayers and partnership that make this ministry possible. Please continue to pray for our missionaries as they travel, boldly share the Gospel, distribute God's Word, and disciple new believers to grow in their faith.
