It’s Digital Inclusion Week, and yesterday AGE+ joined the Oregon Broadband Equity Coalition’s "Talk Tech Together" at Multnomah County Library’s Albina Branch.

Community members and cross-sector partners came together to explore digital access, technology education, AI, and how we can ensure everyone has the skills and support to access the resources and opportunities that increasingly live online.

Together, we dreamed up ways to keep technology human in an advancing digital world, make technology education relevant to learners, and harness the potential of AI for the common good.

We’re grateful to connect and strategize alongside friends from the National Digital Inclusion Alliance, Link Oregon, the City of Portland, and NTEN.

The work is happening right now!

Today, people from across Oregon are gathering for the Shared Future Oregon Kick-Off to begin building a framework for a Multi-Sector Plan for Aging. AGE+ is partnering with AARP Oregon and the Governor’s Commission on Senior Services to bring diverse voices and sectors together around statewide priorities and opportunities for meaningful change.

We thank the Maybelle Clark Macdonald Fund, Next50, NW Natural, AARP Oregon, and the May & Stanley Smith Charitable Trust for supporting this work.

Oregon's population is changing, and we need to respond. People from communities and sectors across the state are coming together to work on the Multi-Sector Plan for Aging. As this work ramps up, your input is needed to help make sure things like housing, healthcare, and transportation work for everyone. This plan is about creating a future where all Oregonians feel welcome and supported.

Phoenix Commons is gaining statewide attention! OPB recently featured the planned development, which will create 40 affordable, fully accessible homes for older adults and advance innovative age-friendly housing in Oregon. This important project was made possible through funding from Oregon Housing and Community Services.
