It is official: The NW Steelheaders have adopted Feldheimer boat launch on the Clackamas River in partnership with Clackamas County, Oregon. Our Clackamas River chapter is committed to keeping the launch tidy, and we will be exploring resources for making improvements to the river access site. Thank you to the Parks and Road Departments for their dedication to enriching outdoor recreation in Clackamas County.

When: Saturday, October 18th – Meet at 7:00 AM
Where: Barton Park (lower parking area/boat ramp)
Join your fellow Northwest Steelheaders for a relaxed morning of fishing on the Clackamas! This is a great opportunity to connect with other anglers, share tips and techniques, and enjoy a crisp fall morning on the river.
We will meet at Barton Park and then disperse from there in groups to various fishing spots.
Please bring your own gear. We’ll also focus on skill-sharing rather than guided instruction, but you will have experienced anglers to provide guidance as needed!
With cooler temperatures setting in, waders and warm layers are highly recommended.
All skill levels are welcome — whether you’re new to fishing or a seasoned Steelheader, we’d love to see you there!
Parking at Barton Park does require payment. If you plan to visit more than once, an annual pass is encouraged.

Rain means fish are on the move, so now is the time to start thinking about going out for salmon and steelhead on our local rivers!

We hope to see you at our monthly chapter meeting this week because we are hosting special guest Jurgen West who will be sharing his insights and techniques as an accomplished bank angler on both the Clackamas and the Sandy(and many more coastal rivers in the PNW).

Don't forget: we'll have our raffle to raise funds for chapter projects featuring lots of great tackle and related fishing gear.
