FROM THE ARCHIVES: LONE WOLF, 1994 🐺

Apparently our predecessors had a slightly different definition of good trail conditions.

From an old Dirt Rider Wolf Tales column covering the Lone Wolf ISDE Qualifier in the Tillamook State Forest:

“50 percent snot, 25 percent mutilated banana and 25 percent 30-weight hamburger grease.”

Downed trees, bulldogging motorcycles, riders helping each other over logs, and what the author ultimately called “the toughest event I’ve ever entered.”

More than 30 years later, the legend lives on. A little less sufferfest, but the same great challenge.

The weather is looking considerably friendlier, the Lobos trail crew has put countless hours into clearing brush and removing downed logs, and we’re building a course worthy of the Lone Wolf name.

Some things don’t need an update.

Since 1985, the Lone Wolf has been sending riders into the Tillamook State Forest, the same ol’ woods where generations before us lined up to test themselves.

The bikes have changed. The gear has changed. The sport has changed. But some of the best parts were worth holding onto.

More than 40 years later, we’re still here, still in the Burn, carrying on the kind of enduro that was handed down to us.

We are excited to host the 8th Annual Kid's Field Day! This event is a great opportunity for beginner dirtbike riders to experience some fun skills drills, games and make friends.

The first 25 kids to sign up will ride for free! So don't delay in registering. The Lobos MC will provide lunch for all participants.

The Lobos MC wants to thank all the riders, spectators, and volunteers who came out for an incredible weekend of racing in search of a spot on the 2026 United States ISDE team!

Amazing weather and course conditions kept the racing tight and saw multiple position changes up and down the leaderboard throughout the day as riders pushed themselves to their limits.

Good luck to all the riders who will be representing Team USA over in Portugal! We’ll be cheering for you!
