Dear Friends,
Every year the Americas Foundation hosts a Christmas party (Posada) for the students of the La Esperanza schools and another for the residents of surrounding Colonia La Esperanza, Tijuana many of whom live with great scarcity.

We are looking for groups to sponsor presents for each class whose size may range from 12 to 20 students. Each student receives a gift, which may be the only gift they recieve in a year. We provide the names and ages of the students and ask the sponsors to donate and wrap gifts, label them with the name of the student and get them to 898 2nd Ave., Chula Vista, CA 91911 by November 20th, so we can cross them to the school little by little. We are also looking for volunteers to transport gifts to Chula Vista and from Chula Vista and/or from Chula Vista to the Colegio La Esperanza if necessary. We ask that the presents have a value of $15 to $20 so there is not too much difference in thevalue of the gifts.

The Posada of the Colonia La Esperanza is a separate, larger holiday event. It is always a very fun and greatly appreciated.. We are looking for gift donations for children of all ages, men, women and babies. If you can donate some gifts, please wrap them and label for what s*x and age group they would be appropriate. Example: girl 6 -8 years old or boy 1-3 years old.
We need these presents at the latest by the beginning of December, so we can cross them little by little over the border without problems. La Presencia Entrevistas a Mujeres Notables, visitó el Colegio La Esperanza, en la Colonia la Esperanza en la Sanchez Taboada, donde el Arte y la Belleza son el antídoto de la Violencia.

Friends, Our Easter mini donation matching campaign to help fund scholarships for kids to study at the La Esperanza Schools is almost over. We need your monthly help that will be matched! We still have 39 students who need scholarship support which will provide them with basic education integrated with a full arts program.
The good news is we have a donor who is willing to match monthly (or weekly) donations up to $75 per month if you sign up before the Easter holiday is over (April 13th) . You can donate as little as $12.50 per month and have it be doubled. Ongoing monthly donations help us a great deal to sustain the scholarship program and everyday needs of the La Esperanza schools which continue to change the lives of children living in adverse, economically depressed conditions.
A monthly donation of $26 on your part with provide a half scholarship (normally $52 per month and a monthly donation of $52 will provide a full scholarship. With everything that is going on in the world this is one opportunity to give hope and perspective.
