Let’s meet our President Elect!

This is Melinda Clarke’s 3rd year on the board of the PTA. She spent the last 2 years as the Membership Chair and is excited to step into the role of President Elect. She lives with her husband, Brian, her daughters, Olivia and Amelia, and their dog, Luna. Olivia will be entering 3rd grade and Amelia will be attending a pre-kindergarten program. Melinda loves reading, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends. She is excited for another great year of PTA events!

Next up is our treasurer! 💰 📝

Krystle Huber has been an active member of the PTA for the past 7 years. This will be her second year as a member of the board. Krystle lives in South Abington with her husband Mike and two children, Annabelle and Benjamin. This year, Annabelle will be entering the seventh grade at Abington Heights Middle School and Benjamin is entering third grade here at South Abington. When Krystle is not helping Coach the new Jr. High cheer team you can find her curled up with a good book, spending time with her family - they especially love game nights- and traveling to new places and sharing new experiences with her kids. Krystle is excited to start another year helping to create fun memories for our South Abington families.

💙 We are thrilled to announce our VP of Fundraising, Aimee Miller!

Aimee Miller is a proud mom of three boys — Owen (15) entering 10th grade at the high school; Landon (11), starting 6th grade at the middle school; and Weston (9), beginning 3rd grade this year. She and her husband, Patrick, have called South Abington home for the past 16 years.

Aimee has been actively involved in the South Abington PTA since 2016, when Owen began kindergarten, and has served in multiple roles on both the PTA board and the Abington Gators Swim Team board. Her dedication to community service and volunteering began at a young age and has continued throughout her life.

In her free time, Aimee enjoys camping, traveling, and spending time with her family. She is excited to bring new fundraising ideas to the PTA, helping ensure the organization can continue to support the school, its students, and its staff.

It’s that time again!
Our awesome Chalk the Walk event will be happening the evening before school starts! Students and their families are invited to come down and decorate the sidewalks in preparation of the first day of school. Chalk is provided by the PTA.

Yearbooks are in! We will be at South Abington Park this Sunday 8/16 from 6-8 pm and next Tuesday 8/18 5-7 pm under the pavilion to pick up.

Introducing our Secretary!

Stephanie has been an active PTA member for 3 years, and this is her second year on the board. She resides in South Abington Township with her husband Nate, and their son Chase, who is entering 3rd grade. In her spare time, she enjoys reading psychological thrillers, watching true crime shows, strolling the aisles of Target, or booking another trip to Disney. Halloween is her favorite holiday, and she can't wait to start planning the Spooktacular event this year.
