Abington Angels

Abington Angels 20% of Abington Heights School District's families live below the poverty level. We fill that need.

Abington Angels was a joint effort between the Abington Heights Middle School counselors and the AHMS PTA with the idea to help our Middle School families in need over 10 years ago. This past year Abington Angels couldn't be supported through the PTA in 2020-21 so through the efforts of several Abington Angel supporters it found a new home with the Abington Heights Civic League, Inc. (AHCL)

This

program in run completely anonymously through our school counselors. We provide a complete holiday meal along with a food pantry over the Thanksgiving, winter and Spring breaks, as well as a holiday wish list for the children. This year the AHCL Abington Angel's was able to branch out from just the Middle School families to include families from our high school. This summer we are branching out further in our efforts to help our community by providing backpack's to the four elementary schools. This past year we had unprecedented support from our community. The Abington Heights community generously donated food pantry items, gift cards, monetary donations, as well as purchasing wish list items for our Angels. We can not thank our community enough for helping the Abington Angels. A Special Thank you to Eagle Cleaners and AEIO for their generous donations which allowed us to continue our efforts during a time of great uncertainty.

On Tuesday, November 25th, Abington Angels dropped off our Thanksgiving Food Pantry to our schools.
We would like to THANK all our donors especially Clarks Green United Methodist Church, Clarks Summit Elementary PTA , Clarks Summit United Methodist Church, Countryside Community, Eagle Cleaners, Endless Roots Farm, Jane Dough's, Manning Farm Dairy,
Pallman Farms and Waverly Elementary PTA.
