Downtown Go Around

Downtown Go Around Members of the ABPA have formed a committee to create additional programming and event opportunities around themes for each month.

The mission of the ABPA is to preserve, protect, and improve the civic, business, and professional life of the Abingtons, and join with area officials, public service organizations, and individuals to achieve this goal. We invite any Abington Business or Professional Organization to ‘tie in’ to the theme and events either for the 2nd week of the month or the entire month. We have been given use of

the old Fire Station for community events and are working on creating a stage there for live performances.

THANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY for your donations of pliable plastic! Over 1,000 pounds of it were recycled into Trex Company products, and we received this lovely bench. We also helped students at Abington Heights High School procure one, which will be coming soon. Our donation boxes are still in place and we will be gearing up to begin collecting for a 2nd bench in September. This is a win/win for our community and the environment.

Abington Heights Civic League members stand with the Trex Bench that was donated by the club to Hillside Community Center. From left to right are Jan Klusza, Eileen Milunic, Leah Rudolph, Liana Smith and Sue O'Day. The club will be collecting plastic again this year.

Seriously, folks! Google the missing person’s name and you will see if they are missing, found, or from another state. Do this BEFORE you share the news. Most of the time it is a scam and a horrible misuse of an image.
