South Side Help Center is a place of safety and comfort for youth and teens on Chicago's Far South Side. Through CREATE Afterschool, young people build real skills four days a week — leadership and service, career readiness, wellness and life skills, and creative arts. We also host teen nights, 4-H, youth mentoring, trips, and community events.

Tonight the Chicago skyline goes green for National 4-H Week 💚 and today, we're adding our own light to it.

We're proud to officially kick off our 4-H club at South Side Help Center! Starting today, young people in Roseland, Pullman, West Pullman, and Washington Heights have a new space to learn by doing, build leadership skills, and grow into the people our community needs.

Marching in front of Chicago City Hall in protest of HIV funding cuts. SSHC and AHF have lost grants from Chicago Department of Public Health, ultimately terminating funding for jobs and HIV prevention and clinical care. Even worse, CDPH has returned $40M for grant funding to the federal government rather than issue it to community based organizations for them to serve Chicago residents. FUND OUR COMMUNITY HEALTHCARE!
