The Illinois Court Based Rental Assistance Program (CBRAP) has reopened.

The Illinois Court-Based Rental Assistance Program (CBRAP) provides emergency rental assistance to tenants and landlords across Illinois who have pending case(s) in eviction court. Eligible applicants may qualify for up to $10,000 that can be applied to past due rent, up to $700 for court costs, and up to two months' future rent to prevent housing displacement.

Phalanx Family Services just welcomed Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson to the Far South Side. Our garden was the site for his press conference about the Chicago Youth Works Program. The event featured addresses by the Mayor; Phalanx Family Services Director of Operations, Laura Erving-Bailey; 21st Ward Alderman, Ronnie Mosley; Chicago Department of Family & Support Services Commissioner, Angela Green; and 2 Chicago Youth Works participants, Trenity Miles & Trevon Robinson.
