Growing up with an autistic sibling shapes identity, relationships, and life experiences in meaningful ways. Researchers at the University of Alabama at Birmingham are conducting a study to better understand these experiences from your perspective.

Who can participate? Non-autistic adults ages 18 - 40, who live in the U.S., and have one autistic sibling.

Participants will complete an online survey (approximately 45 minutes) and answer questions about yourself, your sibling, and your experiences. Participants who complete the survey will receive $20. You may skip any questions or stop participation at any time.

We are always looking for passionate people to join our committees. While previous experience in an area is always helpful, you do not need to have a professional or personal background in the focus area of one of our committees to be a good fit.

In partnership with our friends at Supporting Illinois Brothers and Sisters (S.I.B.S.), we’re sharing an invitation for siblings to share their grief and loss stories. 💙

A few years ago, S.I.B.S. invited siblings to share their grief and loss stories. While they received several meaningful submissions, the sibling community has grown—and with so many new voices, we feel called to open this invitation again.

We invite you to share reflections on your brother or sister—memories, lessons, moments of joy, and the experience of loving and losing someone who shaped your life.

These stories will be featured in the S.I.B.S. Sibling Grief Blog, a growing collection dedicated to honoring sibling lives and uplifting the voices of those who loved them.
You do not need to be a writer. Your voice matters. Your story matters. 💙

S.I.B.S. has created simple story guidelines. Please email [email protected] to request them before submitting your story.
