The Advocacy Council represents a new chapter unfolding at OHU.

With the help of our founding members, the Advocacy Council exists to help bridge the gap between what exists and what is possible when it comes to caring for children, youth, and families. Closing that gap takes more than dollars. It takes people willing to carry this mission into rooms the rest of us cannot reach alone.

Partnerships make hope possible.

OHU President and CEO Damon Cates, board members Paul Guilianelli and Dave Young, and staff joined Skye Burgeson and Edward Jones for a Chicago Air and Water Show rooftop event, where we shared more about One Hope United, our mission, and the impact of our partnership.

We’re grateful for partners like Edward Jones who don’t just invest in our organization, but also believe in helping families find stability, and connecting us to others who support the mission.

A clean bedroom, a support system, and a place to call home.

That's what happens at our —a specialized type of foster home for teens, who on average, have 19 placements before they land in a Hope House. Here, they can be unapologetically themselves and be accepted and supported throughout their journey.
