Thank you CBS2 Chicago. We’re grateful for the feature highlighting our expanded food drive efforts across the community.

We appreciate all of our Instituto stakeholders that joined us yesterday at our Ribbon Cutting!

A heartfelt thank you to Hispanic Federation for their generosity and to the Greater Chicago Food Depository for their continued partnership.

Lastly, we would like to acknowledge our team members and volunteers that help bring this to life week in and week out for our community members. We appreciate you!

For the first time, Instituto Del Progreso Latino in Pilsen is offering the pantry twice a week, as demand is expected to grow with the impending pause on SNAP benefits.

Our weekly food drive is taking place tomorrow, from 2-5pm, tomorrow (Tuesday) at our IJLA campus (2570 S. Blue Island). Join us a little earlier at 1:30pm for a brief ribbon cutting ceremony! Nos vemos pronto.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for this year’s Una Familia Gala! It was a beautiful evening celebrating community and resilience.

A special thank you to our incredible sponsors for making this night possible, our two inspiring honorees — Dolores Huerta, recipient of the Instituto Spirit Award, and Ambasssador Reyna Torres Mendívil, recipient of the Instituto Leadership Award.

Immense gratitude as well to our MC for the night, Mr.Omar Ramos and DJ Jesse El Grandote. Thank you both for setting the vibe on this memorable night.

Lastly, thank you to our local and state officials that joined us, especially Senator Dick Durbin for making a special appearance!

We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Barrington Price to Instituto’s Board of Directors!
Dr. Price serves as CEO of Dominican University’s Chicago Campus and VP of Student Engagement. As a first-generation college graduate, he is deeply committed to creating pathways for all students to succeed. His expertise in higher education and equity-centered leadership will be invaluable as Instituto continues building stronger educational and career opportunities for our community.

Such a special citizenship swearing in!

50 people from 24 countries celebrated their new U.S. citizenship at a naturalization ceremony in Chicago, welcomed by community leaders and presided over by a federal judge.

Instituto recently celebrated the swearing in of 50 new U.S. citizens from 24 countries—joined by Rep. Jesús “Chuy” Garcia (IL-03), Hon. Thorne, Lawrence Benito of ICIRR and reps from USCIS and The Northern District Court of Illinois.
Even more special, one of the ceremony participants was an Instituto team member. 💙
We’re proud to be the largest processor of citizenship applications in Illinois, helping thousands of families achieve their dreams.

Join us for the first distribution tomorrow, and stop by if you’re able to — if not, no worries! We will now be hosting the food drive every Tuesday from 2:00–5:00 p.m. and every Thursday from 9:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
