Flashback Friday with the Milhouse Charities Lions and their families spending last Saturday serving in Orland Park. This one was all about families serving together and teaching the next generation what it means to show up. The Bridge gives 7th through 12th grade students a safe place not just to be, but to become through programs focused on everyday life, education, mind and body, expressive arts, community, and job readiness. As Taylor Scanlon shared, “It was great to see your staff bring their families and see their kids get excited knowing they can serve.”

On a sunny ATL Sunday afternoon Milhouse Forestry spent time with
cleaning, prepping and repairing bikes for kids in the community. What looks like a bike to some can mean access, equity, movement, confidence, independence and for a child to experience. Caring for the spaces around us and helping create healthier environments where children and families can grow is what we do. Thank you for the opportunity to serve.

There’s a moment that stays with you.

A young woman standing in front of the mirror, unsure at first, looking but not saying much. Then slowly, a smile shines brightly. In the mirror looking at her reflection she can see herself on prom night. That's the Princess Plan that
created with The Princess Project.

In the elegant ballroom the day was picture perfect. Each Princess was given the space to choose, feel supported, experience the attentive service of dedicated volunteers.

This is what happens when the village shows up. Sponsorship from

All present helping make the experience whole down to the youngest volunteer, just 6 years old, playing her part because every little girl is a princess.

Khali Spraggins and Kerry Koranteng weren’t there for pictures. They were adjusting dresses, speaking life into the girls, standing close enough to remind them that they belong here. Both already building something of their own making time to serve.

The women who volunteered moved with that same care. Fixing a strap. Zipping a dress. Saying the right thing at the right time without even realizing it mattered as much as it did.
At the end of the day, it wasn’t just dresses it was something deeper. Something each young woman can carry with her long after prom night is over.

Arbor Day with Milhouse Forestry was about getting our hands dirty and making a real investment in the future. Working alongside the Lamar County Recreation Department in Bensenville, we planted trees that will grow into something bigger than today and give back for years to come.

Our Milhouse Lions showed up ready to work, understanding that this kind of effort is a long game.

Appreciate Dominick Muncy and Corey Winbush for being part of it and putting in the work.

After a week of record-breaking rain in Chicago, we still showed up to serve
with because keeping your word matters 🧡
Earth Day is a global reminder that we all share the same planet and we are responsible for how it’s cared for. The earth is our common ground.🌏
Cleaning, restoring, mulching and caring for the spaces we all share is Purpose in Motion. 💙
What we take care of today is what we pass forward to future families and generations.

Today we sat down with our community partners for a We’re Better Together Lunch and Learn, purposed to build together🧡

Thank you

for accepting the invitation to sit at the table of impact alongside Milhouse team members. Different organizations, different approaches, one shared responsibility.

This working conversation about what it takes to stay connected with integrity and honesty to the communities we serveand to build in a way that is consistent and real was meaningful and purposeful.

Together, we are preparing the future for the leaders of tomorrow. Not just through programs, but through presence, partnership, and the decisions we make every day to stay engaged.

What we are building does not happen alone. It takes all of us, in the room and beyond it.

Today and every day the Earth is our responsibility. What we build should serve us today and protect tomorrow.
