Join us at Migration Blues at the The DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center, Friday, April 18, at 6:30p! A panel featuring BERNARD LOYD, lead steward of The Forum, and Chandra Cooper, great-granddaughter of Muddy Waters, will describe the role of The Forum and other key Bronzeville places in the Great Migration and the role of the blues music in shaping the migration and the Black Metropolis. A blues performance will follow.

Today kicks off Open House Chicago👏🏾

The Forum will feature a live viewing of the recently discovered backdrops (as featured on Fox 32 & Block Club Chicago), a collage of the new development occurring in the West Annex of The Forum, and live musical performances by One City Jazz Band, VanderCook College of Music, The Pen Collective, The Junta Jazz Ensemble and the African Soul Ensemble.

Doors open at 10 am and it’s FREE! See you soon!
