On Thursday, August 20th, ROW was proud to host eight staff members from UChicago Medicine's Cancer Center at the Eleanor Boathouse, showcasing the power of the ROW program and the sport of rowing. Seven ROW team members, who bravely navigated their treatment at UChicago, joined in to inspire by helping on the ergs and boats, connecting with the dedicated surgeons, nurses, and physical therapists who stood by them through their breast cancer journeys.
At Recovery on Water, we are tremendously grateful to the medical providers and researchers who have cared for us and made breast cancer more survivable than ever before. We are also proud to be partners in the wellness journey that follows, creating opportunities for fitness and a community of shared experience and support.
ROW plans to offer the Medical Providers Row annually to our Chicagoland hospital partners. We invite surgeons, oncologists, survivorship nurses, physical therapists, and other providers to experience ROW firsthand.
