Rolfe Pancreatic Cancer Foundation Pancreatic cancer is the 4th leading cause of cancer related deaths in the United States.

Rolfe Pancreatic Cancer Foundation is dedicated to providing personal support to those affected by pancreatic cancer through tailored resources, connections and education, and funding for early detection research. Over 43,000 Americans are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer each year and sadly, only 4% will survive five years. Yet in 2010, the National Cancer Institute allocated only 2% of its funding to pancreatic cancer research.

Some people leave a lasting mark on everyone lucky enough to know them. Marj was one of those people. 💜

A longtime Freeport resident, Marj was an animal lover with a great sense of humor and a tough but kind spirit. She was known for being the life of the party and bringing people together. After a short battle with pancreatic cancer, Marj passed away in March at 79.

To honor her memory, Marj’s dear friend Christy and her husband, Geno, brought their community together for Marj’s Memorial Run.

We recently had the opportunity to meet Christy and Geno in person and learn more about Marj and the heart behind the run. Together, their community raised an incredible $5,725 for Rolfe Foundation.

We are so grateful to everyone who came together to celebrate Marj’s life and turn their love for her into hope for others. This generosity will help fund pancreatic cancer research and support patients and families. 💜

For 16 years, Marquette Bank employees have held a walk in memory of their coworker, Evelyn Schapp, who passed away from pancreatic cancer. What started as a way to honor Evelyn has grown into an annual tradition that has helped fund pancreatic cancer research and patient support through Rolfe Foundation.

We were truly honored to be part of an evening celebrating Chef Grant Achatz and his incredible journey. 🎗️

As a cancer survivor who faced Stage 4 squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue, Grant’s story is a powerful reminder of how far cancer research and treatment have come, and the hope that continued progress can bring to so many.

Rolfe Foundation was grateful to join fellow donors, doctors, and researchers for a meaningful evening of connection, celebration, and inspiration.
