Today CAT is proud to share our 2025 Impact Report.

The stories and successes in this report are a testament to what is possible when a community comes together around a shared vision. Every accomplishment reflected here was made possible by the collective support of donors, volunteers, participants, partners, staff, and champions who believe in the transformative power of adventure and connection.

Inside you'll find write ups of growth, belonging, leadership, healing, and connection. You'll see what happens when people are given opportunities to challenge themselves, build community, and experience the outdoors in meaningful ways.

To everyone who gave, volunteered, partnered with us, cheered us on, or trusted us with your time and energy: thank you. This impact belongs to all of us.

As we wrap up this year, we're excited to continue building a future where adventure, wellness, and community are accessible to everyone.

Hello everyone, Zorbari and Andrea are taking the virtual stage at the 2026 Blue Horizon Summit! 🌊
Join the whole virtual conference October 8-9 and join CATs session on October 8th 1:15 CT/2:15 ET/ 11:15AM PT.
This is more than a conference. It’s a space held by () and () to connect, strategize, share knowledge, and build the collective power needed to create lasting change in outdoor spaces.
We are
excited to contribute to the conversation on “Who Leads in the Outdoors” and even more excited to learn alongside this community of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color leaders across environmental justice, outdoor education, and marine science.

This is one way it looks like when a community gets outside together.

Saturday was an amazing day on the water with folks of all ages paddling, learning, connecting, and enjoying the outdoors together.

We even had some local musicians join us on the water, adding to an already beautiful day of community and adventure. Being outside creates opportunities to slow down, build relationships, try something new, learn about history, and experience the joy of thriving outside together.

We’re keeping the paddling going!

There’s something special about getting outside together.

Saturday’s Community Paddle was an incredible day on the water, with people of all ages coming together to paddle, explore,connect, and simply enjoy being outdoors.

We had local musicians join us for the paddle, and folks also had the opportunity to try fishing with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. Most importantly, it was a day filled with community, laughter, history, learning, and time spent thriving outside together.

This is why we believe access to outdoor experiences doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes it’s simply getting on the water, trying something new, meeting your neighbors, and sharing the experience.

And we’re doing it one more time this year!
