Our coaches recently completed U.S. Soccer training, strengthening their ability to mentor, teach, and lead the next generation of athletes and community leaders.

Today we celebrate National Women Coaches Day and the incredible leaders guiding the next generation of Urban Warriors.

Our women coaches are more than just coaches—they are Latinas currently competing at the collegiate level, bringing their experience, discipline, and passion back to their community! They are showing our young athletes what is possible when you lead with grit, cultura, and purpose.

By stepping into these leadership roles, they are paving the way for the next generation of girls to see themselves not only as athletes, but as leaders, mentors, and role models.

To our women coaches: thank you for investing your time, your voice, and your heart into our youth. The impact you’re making today will shape our communities for years to come.

It’s always so great to see the joy and excitement on the faces of the children who attend, a reminder of why we prioritize civic engagement and remain committed to supporting and uplifting our community

We want to recognize every young athlete who showed up for Project 21 tryouts this year! and a big Congrats to those who have made the team!

Our selected Project 21 teams will represent Urban Warriors and Litlte Village both locally and on a national competitive stage, showcasing not just their athletic skills but their commitment, discipline, and leadership.
The growth we witnessed this fall through our Clemente Fall Ball league shows just how bright the future is for baseball within Urban Warriors and the community!

A big shoutout to our Guerreras FC Competitive U11 League. The team came up with the idea to raise funds so Urban Warriors families could receive a Thanksgiving meal, and they made it happen. We are so proud of them. This is what Urban Warriors is about. Instilling pride, showing up for our community, and reminding each other that we all have a part in creating change through civic engagement.

This Giving Tuesday, we’re acknowledging the spirit of giving that our youth are already modeling so beautifully. We invite you to join them by supporting our The Mission Continues campaign. Little Village holds the heartbeat of Chicago’s future; it’s home to the highest number of youth in the city and the place Urban Warriors proudly calls home.

In recent days, our community has faced fear and disruption as reports of ICE activity have deeply shaken Little Village. We feel this fear in our neighborhoods, in our businesses, and within our Urban Warriors family, especially among our youth, the heartbeat of Chicago’s future.

We are deeply concerned about the lasting effects this fear and trauma will have on our young people. At Urban Warriors, we are committed to ensuring our programs remain safe spaces of healing, growth, and empowerment for our participants and families.

Through it all, we’ve witnessed the strength of our community, neighbors checking on one another, families standing together, teams rooting for each other, and organizations uniting to protect and uplift our community. That collective power is what keeps Little Village strong.
Our mission has never been more urgent. Urban Warriors will continue to stand with and for our community, creating opportunities that build strength, unity, and hope for our youth, the future teachers, doctors, elected officials, and union workers who will lead our city and neighborhood forward.

We, the Urban Warriors, are the future of Chicago and beyond. We will always fight to make sure our youth and our community thrive, no matter the challenges or barriers we face. We are Urban Warriors.
