For the first time in Little Village history, a major organization like IWSL is coming to our community to bring competitive sports opportunities directly to our girls. This is bigger than soccer, it’s about access, visibility, and showing our young women that they belong and need to take up space.

Huge gratitude to Noelle Schmitt from the for believing in our Guerreras and helping make this possible. Your commitment to creating opportunities for girls in our community means everything.

Our coaches recently completed U.S. Soccer training, strengthening their ability to mentor, teach, and lead the next generation of athletes and community leaders.

Today we celebrate National Women Coaches Day and the incredible leaders guiding the next generation of Urban Warriors.

Our women coaches are more than just coaches—they are Latinas currently competing at the collegiate level, bringing their experience, discipline, and passion back to their community! They are showing our young athletes what is possible when you lead with grit, cultura, and purpose.

By stepping into these leadership roles, they are paving the way for the next generation of girls to see themselves not only as athletes, but as leaders, mentors, and role models.

To our women coaches: thank you for investing your time, your voice, and your heart into our youth. The impact you’re making today will shape our communities for years to come.
