After “retiring” in 2022, Msgr. Arturo Bañuelas chose a different way to think about the next chapter of his career. He still assists with Mass at roughly 10 parishes throughout the Diocese of El Paso and continues teaching through the Tepeyac Institute. He often says "Don't call it retirement, call it refinement." Our 2026-2027 Lumen Christi Award recipient has loved every bit of his 50 years as a priest.
