👉 Leaders must adapt quickly, and build resilience into operations and strategy
👉 Outcome ➡️ Organizations that adapt well are more sustainable and impactful.
2️⃣ Stay grounded in your mission. A key risk for nonprofits is:

It's turning out that there is something of a perception problem in the space on behalf of the broader . Here is a summary and what we can all do about it:

1️⃣ are experiencing real financial strain—but most Americans don’t realize it.
👉 Only ~32% of Americans are aware that nonprofits lost government funding in 2025
👉 17% think there were no changes
👉 29% believe funding actually increased
2️⃣ The Reality: Funding Disruptions Are Significant
👉 21% of nonprofits lost government funding in early 2025
👉 27% experienced delays, freezes, or pauses in funding
3️⃣ Awareness Drives Willingness to Give
👉 When people do understand funding cuts:
👉 Many say they would be more likely to donate or support nonprofits
👉 The issue is not lack of willingness—it’s lack of awareness
4️⃣ Nonprofits Have a Communication Problem
👉 Nonprofits are not effectively communicating: their role in society; their reliance on funding; and the impact of funding cuts
5️⃣ Perception of Politicization Adds Complexity
👉 A growing share of the public believes nonprofits are becoming more political
👉 The key is to emphasize your programs and how they affect everyone
