Our Lady of Kibeho mourns the loss of Sister Maria Soledad Gutierrez of the Oblate Sisters of Providence. She would have celebrated her 102nd birthday this week. We are so grateful for the time she spent serving as the Spanish teacher at Holy Name of Mary School. May she rest in peace, and may we continue to keep all of the Oblate Sisters lifted in prayer. They are constantly praying for us💞🙏🏿.

Great job, Mary! An American Saints exhibit was held from July 1 through 9, 2026, at the National Shrine of our Lady of Champion in Champion, Wisconsin, to honor the achievements of the Catholic Saints of America. Representatives were available to present information about the lives, virtues and ongoing causes of American Saints, and those on the path to Sainthood, to over 10,000 attendees. Oblate Lay Associate Mary Malcolm was the representative for Venerable Mary Lange, founder of the Oblate Sisters of Providence, at her information table and gave a presentation to attendees on Mother Lange's life, virtues, and achievements. What a great opportunity to introduce Mother Mary Lange to many Catholics for the first time!
