Eid Mubarak to our beautiful community!

Eid is always a little bittersweet. As we say goodbye to the blessed month of Ramadan, we close it with celebration, gratitude, and reflection.

This year, I’m thinking about the ripple effect.

When we finish reading the Quran, we make du’a… and then we begin again. Eid is our restart. a chance to carry forward everything we built this month into the year ahead.

Every act of kindness, every moment of patience, every charity given, none of it ends with Ramadan. Each good deed creates a ripple that continues beyond what we can see. And through that, Allah grants protection, mercy, and barakah.

Even as the world feels heavy, we are still given moments to celebrate — intentionally, and for the sake of Allah. These moments matter. They renew us, and they spread light to those around us.

So celebrate. Carry the الخير forward. Let your Ramadan ripple into the rest of the year.

Ramadan after Ramadan, the world around us feels heavier.
Ongoing wars, economic uncertainty, job instability, and so much more.

Each year, we begin with big hopes and quiet fear, wondering if we’ll even reach our goal.
But SubhanAllah — there is something about this work, and the one who began it, Iman Jasim( الله يرحمها), that Allah continues to carry forward, no matter how chaotic the world becomes. And He uses us to allow the work to continue making us part of this goodness, Alhamdulillah.

That is the essence of the ripple effect.
We begin something sincerely for Allah, and we ask Him to bless it, grow it, and allow it to continue long after we leave this temporary life.

To all those who gave, who shared, who made du‘a, who believed in this — you are part of that ripple.
Because of you, we didn’t just reach our goal… we surpassed it. Alhamdulillah.

اللهم تقبل من كل من ساهم في هذه الحملة، واجعلها صدقة جارية لهم،
اللهم بارك لهم في أرزاقهم وأهليهم وأوقاتهم،
اللهم ارزقهم أضعاف ما أنفقوا، وارزقهم من حيث لا يحتسبون،
اللهم اجعل ما قدموه نورًا لهم في الدنيا والآخرة،
اللهم فرّج همومهم، واشفِ مرضاهم، واكتب لهم الأجر والرضا،

Oh Allah, accept from every person who contributed to this campaign and make it an ongoing charity for them.
Oh Allah, bless their provision, their families, and their time.
Oh Allah, multiply what they gave and provide for them from places they could never imagine.
Oh Allah, make what they gave a light for them in this life and the next.
Oh Allah, ease their burdens, heal their sick, and grant them reward and contentment.
Oh Allah, shade them under Your shade on the Day there is no shade but Yours.

18 years young. Madou was the epitome of a ripple effect. His smile was contagious, his presence was loved, and his ending was inspirational.

He wasn’t a sheikh or a scholar. Just a simple Muslim focused on his purpose as a servant of Allah, seeking only His pleasure.

And the reward? Allah granted him one of the most beautiful endings. It’s said that he was a walking version of a hadith. Imagine that being said about you.

This life is temporary. Don’t allow the illusion of this world to distract you from building your eternal home in the hereafter and becoming a ripple of goodness to everyone around you.

May Allah have mercy on Madou, forgive his sins, expand his grave and allow his grave to be a room from Jennah. May Allah grant him the highest levels of Jannah. May his legacy of goodness continue to inspire others, and may Allah reunite him with his loved ones in Jannatul-Firdaws. Ameen.

A moth cannot fly without the struggle of breaking through the cocoon.

The very pressure it fights against is what strengthens its wings.

Sometimes our struggles work the same way.

They soften our hearts.

They help us recognize pain in others.

And that empathy becomes generosity.

More than 10 years ago, my mom started this Qur’an school with just a few students.

Today, those students teach others… and the ripple continues to grow. What began as a small step now reaches hundreds of students and has even crossed borders to our orphanage in Afghanistan.
