Parents and staff attended, cheering on the hard work and growth of each student this year, and students received awards in various categories. ✨ As part of our 25th Anniversary celebration, we are highlighting 25 alumni whose lives have been impacted by By The Hand. ✨ Meet Janae, a 2004 Cabrini-Green alumnus. Janae graduated from Taylor University and then completed her MSW at Chicago State University. She now works for CPS as a school social worker.

“By The Hand created an amazing foundation for my life. From elementary school, to high school, to college and now beyond. I’m equipped with the tools to be successful. With my undergraduate and master’s degrees, I’m now proudly building my career as a social worker, serving children in at-risk communities and providing support for their social-emotional functioning.”

✨ As part of our 25th Anniversary celebration, we are highlighting 25 alumni whose lives have been impacted by By The Hand. ✨ Meet James, a 2008 Austin alumnus who now works as a team leader at our Cabrini-Green site. “After serving in the Army, I started working at By The Hand. I get to pass on the lessons I learned as a student: faith, leadership and service. They’ve given me purpose, stability and a tangible way to pour into the next generation with the same guidance and love I received."
