Thank you to United Way of South Hampton Roads for investing in ForKids and the families we serve through $109,000 in grant funding 💙

These funds will support programs focused on economic mobility, academics, and youth enrichment, helping families and children in our community access opportunities for long-term stability and success.

We’re grateful for community partners who continue to believe in the power of investing in local families and brighter futures.

In observance of Memorial Day, both our Birdsong and Landmark locations will be closed on Monday and will resume normal business hours on Tuesday.

Recently, during the Beyond The Bell afterschool program, our K–2nd graders had the special opportunity to release a butterfly they had raised since it was a caterpillar. They were able to experience its full journey and watch it spread its wings and fly away 🦋

“It is incredibly important to these children that need help because when we’re looking at the very young ones, babies, and toddlers, they really can’t speak for themselves. They can’t necessarily tell you what’s going on. And then when we look at older children, often they’re just too afraid,” said Thaler McCormick the CEO of ForKids.
