Tiny Paws Rescue

Tiny Paws Rescue Tiny Paws Rescue, a volunteer foster-based, small dog rescue serving NJ, Phila & surrounding areas

Tiny Paws Rescue is a volunteer foster-based, small-breed dog rescue dedicated to rescue and placement of small dogs into loving, permanent homes throughout Phila, Bucks, Chester, Montgomery & Delaware counties in PA as well as Central & Southern NJ

Countless small dogs in the region are left homeless every year through no fault of their own. Many are dumped at ACCT Philly (Animal Care and Contr

ol Team of Philadelphia) and other public shelters where they are at high risk of euthanasia due to overpopulation. Others are surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. Tiny Paws Rescue is committed to helping the neediest, as well as the readily adoptable, among our area’s most vulnerable creatures. Dogs in our care receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, including spay or neuter, and are placed in nurturing foster homes while they await adoption and placement in the loving, responsible, forever homes they deserve. Tiny Paws Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue run entirely by dedicated volunteers and does not receive any public funding. We rely entirely on fundraising support and donations from private individuals and local companies/organizations who believe in our mission.

ADOPT SUNSHINE!!

Sunshine’s a 3yo 18lb Terrier mix. He’s dog, cat and kid 10+ friendly. He’s housebroken when kept on a schedule and crate trained. He’d be good in a secure fenced in yard and/or going on harness leashed walks. He loves to suckle on a stuffed animal or blanket. He needs some time to warm up with new people, but once he does warm up, he’s a sweet cuddle bug who will roll over for belly rubs. He’s young so can get burst of energy but also low key and chills.

Sunshine’s foster requires a home that gives him space and time to get to know them and the new environment, let him come to them at his own pace, makes sure he has tons of stuffed toys to suckle on along with an experienced dog owner. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far.

Sunshine as all dogs should have at least 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first.

Sunshine is neutered, vaccinated, HW negative and microchipped. Currently in Maple Shade, NJ. If your home meets the needed requirements and you’re interested in applying to adopt please do so at www.tprescue.org

ADOPT CINNAMON!!

Cinnamon’s a 2yo 15lb chi mix. She’s dog and kid 12+ friendly. She needs time to warm up and get used to new people and environments. She’s housebroken when kept on a schedule and p*e pad trained. She is used to a secure fenced in yard and would need to learn to go on harness leashed walks. She loves to play with toys and other dogs. She can be skittish when she first meets people, but once she gets to know you, she’s a real sweetheart and she’s very smart. She’s very active, playful, and a very sweet girl. She came from a hoarding situation which is why she needs time to warm up to new people.

Cinnamon’s foster requires a home that gives her space and time to get to know them and the new environment, let her come to them at her own pace along with having a secure 6ft high fence the is not chain link since she can climb them. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. TINY update…. (BABY) GIRL💗

She was seen by Dr Howe-Smith at Haven Animal Health Services - Home of Petpt. She was already on Gabapentin for pain, and Meloxicam (anti inflammatory) was added. She has a narrowing of her cervical spine at the base of her neck, causing limited movement in all 4 limbs. Within 24 hours, Baby Girl was standing on all fours eating her breakfast and walked, although a bit wobbly, back to her bed after!!!
We stared some water therapy, luckily her current foster has a pool. She’s not “paddling” yet but we are so hopeful that she will as the inflammation decreases!
Thank you to everyone sending prayers, good vibes and donations!
We can’t help dogs like Baby Girl without your help!

If you would like to donate towards her care, donation options are below!

Yes… we are on intake hold but we are being super selective on what we take in as we work hard to slowly reopen our intake!!!

WE NEED FOSTERS!!!
WE NEED TO PAY DOWN VET DEBT

But when ACCT reaches out to us directly, we can hear the desperation in their voice, we need to do all we can to help!

GIRL was surrendered by her owners when they could no longer afford to care for her medical needs. She has been unable to walk for months. She was TIMESTAMPED … CODE RED!

We wanted to help her but just couldn’t commit without more diagnostics. ACCT Philly was able to get us X-rays so we could send to our vet. Then, Philadoptables offered a generous donation towards her care adding to a few other pledges. It again, was after hours, past her timestamp and the amazing staff worked with us to get everything in order to save her! Including, an offer of transport from an ACCT staff member!

We got her to safety! Now, we need your help to get her back up on all 4 paws!!! Please consider donating towards Girl’s care and we will update everyone when we have more answers on her condition and a plan of treatment!!

ADOPT NOAH!!

Noah’s a 4yo 16lb Doxie mix. He’s dog, cat and kid friendly. He’s house, p*e pad and crate trained. He’s good in a secure fenced in yard and/or going on harness leashed walks. He’s very friendly, happy, has tons of energy, loves to play fetch, loves to go for walks and is always looking for people or dogs to play with. He spends so much time home alone and in a crate before coming to Tiny Paws that he is thriving human attention and wants to be with his person all the time so also needs them to be outside with him. This could change as he acclimates and realizes he will not be left alone all day.

His foster mom shared: He came from a situation when he had to be surrendered because his mom was older and could not take care of him. He had to be in a crate for long periods of time, so crate only when necessary. Noah loves to walk and run and play with every human, kid, and dog in the neighborhood. He is incredibly smart. He knows where his foster mom’s house is and where all his new friends in the neighborhood live and he wants to go see them every day. He is the most loving, friendliest and sweet pup in the world.

Noah’s foster requires an active home with a secure fenced in yard (he needs his people to be out with him) and/or be taken on daily walks and very little time in a crate if at all along with leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Noah’s neutered, vaccinated, HW negative and microchipped. Currently in Feasterville, PA. If your home meets the needed requirements and you’re interested in applying to adopt please do so at www.tprescue.org
