🎃🏠 Halloween Safety: A Reminder for Homeowners 🏠🎃

Halloween is a fun time for families across Cherry Hill, and we can all do our part to help keep the evening safe for trick-or-treaters, neighbors, and our homes.

Before the festivities begin, keep these reminders in mind:
💡 Keep Exterior Lights On: Turn on lights to help trick-or-treaters see walkways, steps, and potential hazards.

🐾 Keep Pets Inside: Costumes, doorbells, and unfamiliar visitors can be stressful for pets. Keep them secured indoors and away from the door.

🚗 Lock Your Vehicles: Remove valuables from sight, lock your doors, and make sure windows are closed.

🏘️ Clear Walkways: Keep sidewalks, driveways, and front steps free of decorations, cords, and other tripping hazards.

🚦 Drive with Extra Caution: Expect more children and families walking through neighborhoods. Slow down, stay alert, watch for pedestrians, and avoid distractions.

Let’s all do our part to make Halloween a safe and enjoyable evening.

Halloween Parade & Pumpkin Contest 2026! 🎃

We had a day as beautiful as our community. Thank you Cherry Hill Township, Mayor Fleisher & members of Council for stopping by, and to our friends at Barclay Farmstead Museum

This day would not be possible without your annual contributions, the hard work of our Civic Association volunteers Erin, Diana, Nicole, Theresa, Eliza & Julie, and Girl Scout Troop 30476 💚

Barclay Farm Island Beautification Update

Hello Neighbors,
We wanted to share an update on the ongoing beautification efforts at the Barclay Farm entrance islands at Covered Bridge Road/Route 70 and West Gate/Route 70.

Following the completion of much of the Route 70 improvement work, the Barclay Farm Civic Association, in partnership with Cherry Hill Township and the Department of Public Works, has been making progress restoring and enhancing both entrances.

Covered Bridge Entrance
🪏 Completed a full cleanup of the island in August, including w**d removal, new planting beds, mulching, and trimming of trees and shrubs.
💦 Repaired the sprinkler system and flagpole holder.
🇺🇸 Installed an American flag with solar lighting in recognition of America's 250th anniversary.
🌸 Recently planted fall mums purchased through the ARK Elementary School PTA fundraiser, with additional donations from JD Landscape and Hardscape
🍁 Updated the entrance with a seasonal fall flag display.

West Gate Entrance
🌳 Relocated the Barclay Farm sign to the corner of Pearlcroft and Brace Road while the main sign was in storage during DOT construction.
🌼 Created new flower beds around the sign and planted seasonal mums.
🍂 Added a fall-themed flag display.
🍒 The Township removed dead branches from the remaining trees, and additional cleanup, mulching, and landscape improvements are planned.
🌲We are also working with the Township to replace the 6 trees lost during construction activities, selecting ornamental varieties that will further enhance both entrances.

🌿 Barclay Farm Covered Bridge Entrance Island Cleanup Update

What a tremendous effort by our Barclay Farm Civic Association volunteers! We're excited to share the progress being made to beautify our neighborhood entrances.

✅ Removed 15 bags of vegetation waste ✅ Cleared invasive ivy, including eliminating ivy from the Holly tree ✅ Added lighted American flags to help celebrate our nation's 250th Anniversary ✅ Sprinkler systems will be repaired and turned back on soon ✅ Mulching is underway and will be completed this week

Once this work is finished, we'll be turning our attention to the West Gate Entrance to continue improving the appearance of our community.

These projects are made possible by neighbors who care and are willing to donate their time and talents. We need additional volunteers to help with upcoming workdays, and donations are always greatly appreciated to support materials and maintenance costs.

Thank you to everyone who has pitched in so far. Together, we're making Barclay Farm a more beautiful and welcoming place to call home! 🌱🏡
