Please join us for a community conversation on the new African American Studies course, which will be mandatory for all high school students starting this year. During the first part of the event, student and community leaders will contextualize the importance of this course and share experiences that led to its creation. During the second part, we will open the floor for anonymous questions about the course and its curriculum.

This will be the final event for the Just Education Initiative, as we join with CHAACA and other community groups to continue working toward greater justice and equity for Cherry Hill students.

The Just Education Initiative will be holding a Community Discussion on Monday, July 5th at 6 PM! Together, we will watch a recording of Frederick Douglass's speech "What, to the Slave, is the Fourth of July?" and read a brief article to start a conversation about the paradox that Independence Day presents for many Americans. All are welcome to attend, and no prior preparation is necessary to participate, so please join us if you are able!
