🐴 Something Special Is Coming This Spring Break… 🐴

If your child lights up at the sight of horses…
If they crave time outdoors instead of screens…
If they need something confidence-building and hands-on…

We have something exciting planned for Spring Break.

April 6th–9th, we’ll be hosting a small-group Horse Camp Experience right here on the farm.

This won’t be just riding.

It will be:

✨ Learning how to safely handle horses
✨ Grooming and caring for them
✨ Understanding how horses think
✨ Building confidence and responsibility
✨ Riding in a safe, supportive environment

Designed for kids ages 6–16 with little to no horse experience.

Spots will be extremely limited to keep the experience personal and safe.

Big News!

We are beyond excited to announce the very first Big Bend Round-Up Royalty Queen Pageant happening February 28th! This marks the inaugural year of our royalty program.

For decades, rodeo queens have been more than just pageant winners — they are ambassadors of the sport, the face of western heritage, and a symbol of community pride. A rodeo queen represents her rodeo for an entire year, promoting the sport, sharing the Western lifestyle, and attending events near and far with grace and confidence. Their role blends horsemanship, public speaking, poise, and leadership, showcasing the very best of what it means to carry on cowboy and cowgirl tradition.

🏇 What does a rodeo queen do?
✔ Represent the Big Bend Round-Up at parades, school visits, and community and rodeo events.
✔ Promote rodeo and western culture throughout the year
✔ Serve as a role model and advocate for agriculture and heritage
✔ Ride proudly in the arena and stand tall in Western regalia 👒
📣 It’s part spokesperson, part equestrian — all heart.

The Big Bend Round-Up, held at the North Central Washington Fairgrounds in Waterville, WA, is one of our region’s longest-running rodeo traditions — combining PRCA-style rodeo action with thrilling horse racing and Indian relay races every summer. It started as part of the Douglas County Industrial Exposition and has been a staple of the NCW Fair for well over a century.

Join us for an afternoon and evening of family-friendly fun in support of Chelan Jr. Rodeo! Gates open at 3:00 PM, with activities kicking off right away, including horse rides ($5), a mechanical bull, and the double-elimination horseshoe tournament, which begins at 3:00 PM ($50 per team) to pay your entry fee, click the link https://square.link/u/aFbUFhI1

Enjoy a hearty cowboy supper at 5:00 PM featuring brisket, pulled pork, and much more. The evening heats up with a live auction at 6:00 PM, alongside a silent auction, dessert dash, buckle board competition—where the participant purchasing the most buckles takes home a buckle of their own—and Table Poker, where the best table hand wins two tickets to the Chelan PRCA Rodeo. The horseshoe tournament finale will be held following the live auction, capped off with a live band to keep the celebration going.

We’re excited to announce that Photos by Josilynn, an up-and-coming photography business, has been on-site this weekend capturing memories from the Chelan Jr. Rodeo!

She spent Saturday photographing our Senior and Intermediate contestants and is back today to capture the Junior, PeeWee, and Little People events. We are thrilled she is here ans excited to help showcase her work.

Once all the images are edited and ready, we’ll provide a secure and easy way for parents to access and download any photos they’d like. Stay tuned for more details — we can’t wait for you all to see the amazing moments she’s captured!
