Now that the KOSH group has all safely returned and I have had a week to unwind, do laundry and put the camping stuff back in order, I can say with absolute clarity that 'this year was one for the books'.
All the planning meetings, flying practice, supply & food coordination, planning and purchase, people/plane drop-outs and last minute additions.
10 planes, 16 people plus 5 more that joined us there, 3,000NM, 18 fuel stops(for some) and 40+ flying hours(for some), high winds, smoke, and turbulence.
10,000+ GA airplanes, warbirds flying overhead, constant airplane engine sounds, fantastic volunteers, good food, great company, lots of laughs.
It's a whole different world at EAA Airventure Oshkosh. I can't believe it's already over, but I'm already looking forward to and planning for next year.
