What can I offer for a trade you may ask? Good question! Any new or lightly used items or services that are of a greater value than the item we are offering. You can see in past posts items that have been traded. Other items might be gift cards for restaurant meals, the workout equipment that you use for a clothes rack, a car, yacht or even a house! We are not picky!

River the Rescue Racoon did double duty for us today! Julie traded for him but when a second offer came in from Lewis County Sherriff's Office Association, she let him go and he was traded a second time! He will be well cared for by the staff at LCSO. Thank you LCSOA for the sweatshirt and the generous donation you also gave us!

This week, Lewis County Chaplaincy Services had the privilege of sending two of our chaplains to the Police & Fire Chaplain Training Academy in Seattle — including our Executive Director, Andrew Short, and Chaplain Matthew Johnson.

This training helps equip chaplains to better serve first responders and families during some of life’s most difficult moments. From crisis response and trauma care, opportunities like this strengthen our ability to provide a steady ministry of presence when people need it most.

We are grateful for the instructors, agencies, and fellow chaplains who invested into this week of learning and encouragement.

It is a privilege to serve alongside our first responders and care for people during some of life’s hardest moments.
