She is also a parent and fierce advocate for neurodivergent children and their families. New Release: Home and Community Based Services Waiver Overview Video
Did you know that many people with intellectual and developmental disabilities receive support through Medicaid programs called Home and Community Based Services waivers, or waivers for short? Washington’s five DDA waivers currently support more than 25,000 people with I/DD to live and participate in their communities. WOW. What an incredible day.

On behalf of the Lewis County Autism Coalition, thank you to every single person who attended, volunteered, sponsored, donated, displayed a vehicle or BMX bike, purchased raffle tickets, bought merchandise, shared our event, or simply stopped by to support our mission at the 3rd Annual Car & BMX Show.

What started as an idea three years ago has grown into something truly special, a community event that brings people together while helping support programs and services for autistic, neurodiverse, and developmentally disabled individuals and their families throughout our region.

A special thank you to our amazing volunteers who worked behind the scenes before, during, and after the event. These events simply do not happen without people willing to give their time, energy, and heart.

Thank you to our sponsors, community partners, vendors, entertainers, judges, photographers, and everyone who helped make the day a success. Your support helps us continue building opportunities for belonging, connection, advocacy, education, and access throughout Lewis County and beyond.

We were especially excited to showcase our new transportation initiative and shuttle bus, which will help reduce barriers for individuals and families living in some of our most rural communities.

And of course, thank you to all of the car owners, motorcycle riders, and BMX enthusiasts who brought out their incredible rides and shared them with the community. You are the heart of this event.

Days like today remind us what is possible when a community comes together around a shared purpose.

COMMUNITY IMPACT ALERT & SPOTLIGHT!

We are incredibly grateful to Cornerstone Center For Development for their amazing support of our upcoming 3rd Annual Car & BMX Show Fundraiser!

When Cornerstone decided to help, they didn't think small.
