We are taking a survey at the Mission today! Do you like your hotdogs smoked? How about just warmed on the grill? Smoked and the grilled? Crispy grilled? Totally burned?

That is what's for lunch today! come by and enjoy a Costco dog of your choice! We will be serving until about 1:30PM or until we run out. I hope everyone is having a great day!

1 Pantry, 2 Pantry, 3 Pantry, 4! The pantry is very bare this morning. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Ramon noodles,
cup of soup,
pop top Campbells (or other brand) soups,
Single serve canned or vac-packed meats
energy/snack bars
single serve fruit cups
single serve Jello and pudding cups

Anything else that would be appropriate for a single serve without having to heat it up.

Good Morning! I just wanted to make a quick clarification about the BOOKKEEPING position that the Mission is seeking applications for. This is an inhouse position that requires physical presence at our Chehalis facility. "Remote work" is not available at this time.

Those of us who work in the homeless community often find it a challenge to navigate the legal, moral/ethical, community, and financial hurdles across our nation. Here in Lewis County, we are extremely fortunate to have a community that supports OUR local Mission. An example of that support was a recent post asking for "eggs, milk & cheese". The response to that request was overwhelming! THANK YUOU!

In case anyone is wondering, we are going to extend the yard sale through Sunday from 9 AM to 5 PM. We have artwork. We have books of all sorts and kinds. We have shelf knickknacks of every imaginable type. We have collectible plates. We have a very nice bedframe. A table saw. An electric mower. And we even have an inversion table! oh, there’s a drum set!

What a day it’s been at the Lewis County Gospel Mission yard sale. Lots of visitors finding lots of treasures and we have lots left! We’ll be here until five today and it’s my understanding. We have volunteers that are going to be here tomorrow from 9 to 5 or thereabouts also. Come and join us for this great cause.

Every kid deserves a mongoose bike! And we’ve got a whole table full of tools. And we even have a emergency trash pump if you live in a flood zone.

Good afternoon. The Lewis County Gospel Mission generally serves fewer people the first week of each month. Today, we served 93 at breakfast! This trend has been happening for the last year or so. This is placing a strain on the resources that the Mission relies on. Financial doners and volunteers are stretched! Our building is crowded and at capacity. Every day we experience people lost in addiction and mental illness make progress in changing their life choices to a more positive and productive state. Sometimes it as simple as getting to the Mission on time for breakfast. Other days someone who has not had a job for years gets hired by a local business. Small things make a big difference to those who find themselves homeless.

All this to say that we could use MILK, CHEESE & EGGS. We use the basic ingredients in most every meal.

AND just a reminder that the MEGA yard sale benefiting the Mission will be Friday August 7 and Saturday August 8. From 9AM to 5PM each day. WE have received a huge number of donated items for this event and will have something for everyone. Even if you don't need anything, come by and take a tour of the Mission and learn what we do every day!

Good Morning Lewis County family and friends! Your Lewis County Gospel Mission's PANTRY is very bare! This resource is very valuable to those who rely on the Mission for their food security. As government funded resources are reduced, this local service becomes more valuable to those in need every day!

All this to say that we need donations for the Pantry! Here are some things that work well:
ALL SHOULD BE SINGLE SERVE, SHELF STABLE
Cup of soup
Ramen soup
small cans of soup with pop tops
canned or vac packed meats (Spam, chicken, tuna, etc)
energy bars
Small individual packs of trail mix, dried fruit, raisins
Plastic disposable spoons
Fruit, pudding and Jello cups
Instant Oatmeal packs

As always, we are very thankful for our generous supporters.

Just two weeks away! Come and brows some of the "Treasures" that will be available. How would you like a chainsaw art piece for your patio? Or a custom-made wood log truck? For your grand kids, or to give your home that rustic air? And there is cook wear for that college student or a new family.
