Femme Fatales WMC is a law abiding, independent women's motorcycle club (WMC) founded by two determined women that had a vision in May 2011. Our Sisterhood strives to encourage women to be unique and let each of their individual personalities shine. Our Sisterhood is based on a love of riding, giving back to

the community and empowering each other; this is what drives us! Our main focus is to help support both Women and Children in our local Countries, Cities, and Communities. Our commitment to each other and to the club is strong, forthright, unyielding and can survive the trials and tribulations of life. Currently there are Femme Fatales WMC Chapters throughout the United States. With the help and dedication of our sisters we are maintaining steady growth while still focusing on quality, not quantity. All of our sisters ride their own bikes, we are a true Women’s Motorcycle Club. We are looking for strong, independent and highly motivated ladies to potentially become future Femme Fatales WMC Sisters.

We always talk about compassion fatigue in rescue. But compassion fatigue also applies to all the vet techs, veterinary office staff, and veterinarians. We appreciate and value them as well. Be kind to them.

If you're unfamiliar, Gloria Steinem was a true feminist icon who passed away on September 2, 2026. She didn't ride, but she learned a profound lesson about bucking stereotypes and embracing freedom when she met a woman with a purple motorcycle. She told the story in her book Gloria Steinem: My Life on the Road.

Today marks the start of Su***de Prevention Month, but here at Lines for Life, we don't think this conversation should live inside a single month. Prevention rarely starts with a crisis. More often, it starts quietly, with someone noticing a friend seems off, asking a real question, and actually waiting for the answer.

That belief shapes everything we do, from a teen texting YouthLine late at night, to a veteran picking up the phone to call the Military Helpline, to an older adult dialing the Senior Loneliness Line just to hear a friendly voice. Every one of those moments counts, whether or not someone is in crisis.

This month, we're asking you to be that person for someone. Ask the question. Wait for the real answer. That's where prevention begins.
