We are excited to announce our 2026-2027 Agriculture Youth Council Members!

The Council is focused on developing Oklahoma leaders in agriculture through professional development, industry exposure, and real-world experiences across Oklahoma’s diverse agriculture industry.

ODAFF is proud to welcome this year’s members and looks forward to an exciting year ahead!

What an incredible week at the 100th Oklahoma FFA State Convention in Tulsa!

The members had an unforgettable convention filled with accomplishments, memories, and recognition at the highest levels!

⭐ Our chapter was named a National 3-Star Chapter, placing us in the Top 1% of FFA chapters nationwide! This is an incredible honor and a true reflection of the hard work, dedication, and passion of our members, officers, supporters, and community.

🔹 Jade McPeak had several accomplishments this week! Jade was named as a member of the All-State Livestock Judging Team, Received a Washington Leadership Conference Scholarship from Ovintiv in the amount of 1,500 dollars, and was name the 2nd place individual in the STATE in Diversified Livestock Proficiency Awards! These are huge accomplishments!

🔹 Our chapter was also recognized by the and leveled up to a Four Star Bronze Level within the Chapter Trust program!

🔹Congratulations to Chloe Reeves on receiving her State FFA Degree, the highest degree a member can earn at the state level. This achievement represents years of dedication, leadership, and hard work in agricultural education and FFA.

🔹 Kharma Harmon was selected for the 2026 State FFA Choir where she sang on State with a packed BOK arena!

🔹To wrap up an amazing week, members enjoyed a well-deserved reward day at the Tulsa Zoo where they got to experience a different side of “animal agriculture” and celebrate all they accomplished this year!

We are beyond proud of every member who represented Checotah with pride during this historic 100th State Convention. The future is bright for Checotah FFA!

On Monday, April 6, 2026, we were proud to host our annual Checotah FFA Speech Contest, and what an incredible day it was! This year, we had a record-breaking 599 speeches entered a true testament to the hard work, dedication, and talent of FFA members around the state!

We want to extend a huge THANK YOU to our generous sponsors who made this event possible:

A special thank you to Gambino's Pizza for cooking 100 large pizzas to feed all of our speech contestants — and to El Jarocho for catering delicious fajitas for our judges and agricultural education teachers. We appreciate your partnership and support of our students!

We also want to recognize the 92 amazing community members who volunteered their time to serve as judges. Your willingness to give back and support our students does not go unnoticed. This event simply would not be possible without you!

Last night these four members competed in the regional speech contest. The results are as follows:

Jade McPeak was 2nd place in Agriscience and 2nd place in Ag Policy.

Avery Williams was 4th place in Agribusiness.

Rylee Howell was 5th place in Extemporaneous.

Sophie McGuire competed in the 8th, 9th, and 10th grade general agriculture division.

Jade McPeak qualified for the Northeast Area contest on Tuesday, April 21st!

💥 Connors State College and Broken Arrow Speech Contest 💥

Today, April 2nd, FFA members traveled to Connors State College for their CDE Contest! Here are the results!

📣 Sr Meats Evaluation Team was the 9th overall team! The team consisted of Avery Williams, Angel Miller, Trey Anderson, and Jaydan Sanders.

Avery was the 19th high individual!

📣 Sr Livestock Evaluation Team was the 11th overall team, 10th high in cattle, 8th high in swine, 9th overall in sheep/goats, and 10th overall in Reasons! The team consisted of Jade McPeak, Shayla Dismukes, Rylee Howell and Daisy Prince.

Jade McPeak was the 23rd High overall individual, 14th overall in Cattle, and 5th overall in Reasons!

Shayla Dismukes was the 26th High overall individual, 6th overall in swine, and 20th overall in sheep/goats!

📣 Jr Meat Evaluation Team was the 15th overall team! The team consisted of Jake Wilson, Keely McClain, and Caleb Tedford.

📣 Floriculture was the 23rd overall team! The team consisted of Annabelle Mowdy, Cheyenne Davison, and Joslyn Ellifritt.

📣 Jr Livestock Evaluation Team was the 24th overall team! The team consisted of Katie Dismukes, Lariat Lovett, and Presley Brown.

📣 Food Science was the 26th overall team! The team consisted of Peyton Howell, Kharma Harmon, and Destin Miller!

Being a busy day, there is no picture from Connors so we are reusing the Redlands Picture! The ag teachers missed it today!

After the CDE contest, Jade McPeak, Rylee Howell and Avery Williams traveled to Broken Arrow for the speech contest!

🎉 Jade McPeak was 1st place in Ag Policy and 1st place in Agriscience!

🎉 Rylee Howell was 2nd place in Extemporaneous!

💥 NEO Livestock Judging Contest 💥

On Wednesday, April 1st the livestock judging teams traveled to the NEO Livestock Judging Contest in Miami, Oklahoma.

The Senior Livestock Judging Team was the 6th overall team! 8th High Team in Reasons, 10th high in Sheep and Goats, and Champion Overall Team in Swine! Team members include: Jade McPeak, Rylee Howell, Shayla Dismukes, and Sophie McGuire.

🔥 Jade McPeak was the 4th High Individual overall! High individual in swine, 8th high individual in Reasons, and 4th high individual in Cattle!

🔥Rylee Howell was the 21st High individual overall, and the 15th high individual in swine!

🔥 Shayla Dismukes was the 2nd high individual in Swine!

The Junior Livstock Judging Team was the 8th overall team! 12th High Team in Reasons, 7th High Team in Sheep and Goats, 4th High Team in Swine, and 13th High Team in Cattle! Team members include: Brody Lovett, Katie Dismukes, Lariat Lovett, and Daisy Prince.

🔥 Brody Lovett was 13th High individual overall, 13th High Individual in Sheep and Goats, and 13th High Individual in Swine!

💥 Redlands Community College & Kellyville Speech 💥

On Tuesday, March 31st, several teams traveled to Redlands Community College to compete that morning. Here are some of the results!

📣 Sr Livestock Judging was the 13th overall team!

📣 Meats Evaluation Team was the 16th overall team!
- Avery Williams was the 23rd high individual!

📣 Food Science was the 22nd overall team!

After the Redlands, Avery Williams and Rylee Howell traveled to the Kellyville speech contest, only running a couple of hours late!

🎉 Rylee Howell placed 2nd in the Sr Extemporaneous Division!
