🎣 THANK YOU, CHECOTAH! 🎣

What an incredible turnout for our 1st Checotah FOP Lodge #236 Cops N Bobbers Youth Fishing Event! 👮‍♂️🐟

We want to give a huge THANK YOU to every family, child, volunteer, sponsor, and community member who came out and helped make our very first Cops N Bobbers such a great day!

Seeing so many kids out there fishing, laughing, making memories, and spending time with our local officers is exactly what this event was all about. We couldn’t have asked for a better turnout for our first year, and we hope this is just the beginning of a tradition that continues to grow for years to come.

🏆 Congratulations to all of our award winners! And an even bigger congratulations to every kid who participated. Whether you caught the biggest fish, the smallest fish, the most fish, or didn’t catch one at all — we hope you went home with a smile, some great memories, and maybe a new love for fishing!

Events like this wouldn’t be possible without the businesses, organizations, volunteers, and individuals who donated their time, food, fishing gear, prizes, and support. We truly appreciate every single one of you.

Most importantly, thank you to the parents and families who trusted us with the opportunity to spend the day with your kids and build positive relationships within our community.

From all of us at Checotah FOP Lodge #236 — THANK YOU for making our first Cops N Bobbers one to remember! 💙🎣

What are your thoughts? Would this be something that we should make an annual event?

📍 WHERE TO MEET / PARK

We’ve had a few questions about where everyone should meet at the Sports Complex!

You have two parking options:

🚗 Splash Pad / Pavilion Parking
You’re welcome to park near the splash pad and pavilion. From there, it’s just a short walk down the walking path toward the pond.

🚗 Farmers Market Parking
You can also park at the Farmers Market. Once you park, you should be able to see us set up down by the pond!

📍 Farmers Market Location:
35.48346° N, 95.52117° W

We’ll see everyone down by the pond! 🎣

🎣 DO YOU HAVE A CHILD 12 YEARS OLD OR UNDER?! 🎣

Then grab the family and come spend the morning with us at COPS & BOBBERS! 👮‍♂️🎣

📅 Saturday, September 5, 2026
⏰ 10:00 AM – Noon
📍 Checotah Sports Complex
💰 COMPLETELY FREE & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!

Bring the kids out to catch some fish, win some prizes, meet their local law enforcement officers, and make memories that’ll last a lifetime! 🐟🏆❤️

🎣 Fishing poles, tackle, and live bait will be provided while supplies last — and the kids get to KEEP them!

🏆 We’ll have awards for Biggest Fish, Most Fish, and more, plus plenty of fun throughout the morning.

This event is all about getting our local kids outdoors, putting a fishing pole in their hands, and giving families an opportunity to have some fun alongside the officers who serve their community.

So bring the kids, bring the family, and COME FISH WITH US! 🎣👮‍♂️

We can’t wait to see everyone there!
