Thank you to the citizens of McIntosh County for making your voices heard and standing up for the firefighters and emergency responders who serve your communities every day.

Your support for local fire departments and sustainable funding sends a powerful message: public safety matters. The dedication shown throughout this process demonstrates how much our communities value the men and women who answer the call, often at great personal sacrifice, to protect lives and property.

This has been a long fight, and while this chapter may be complete, our work is far from over. We will continue advocating for the resources, recognition, and funding that our fire departments need and deserve to provide the highest level of service to the citizens they protect.

On behalf of everyone who has worked tirelessly in this effort, thank you for your support, your engagement, and your commitment to strengthening emergency services across McIntosh County. Together, we will keep moving forward and continue fighting for the future of public safety in our communities.

The FAIC Fire Department invites everyone to our Monthly Breakfast on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at FAIC Station 1.

What an incredible turnout for our monthly breakfast at the department this morning! We would like to sincerely thank everyone who came out to support our department and fellowship with us. We were honored to serve a little over 125 people today while also having the opportunity to discuss upcoming community events and important matters taking place in the surrounding areas. We appreciate Representative Tim Turner, House District 15 & Jaymn Burdine for stopping by and talking this morning as well!

It has already been a busy start to the weekend for our department, responding to 4 calls so far, and activity across the county continues to stay busy. As everyone enjoys the holiday weekend, please remember to make safety a priority:

• Never drink and drive
• Always wear life jackets or personal flotation devices while on the water
• Keep all required safety equipment easily accessible
