Promoting Women’s Health,
One Mammogram at a Time

At Rotary Rocks Chattanooga, we believe every woman deserves access to lifesaving healthcare, regardless of her circumstances. That’s why we’re proud to help promote free mammograms for underserved women throughout Chattanooga, TN.

At our latest club meeting, our members prepared bags filled with mammogram cards, flyers, and informational printouts to distribute to the Family Justice Center, community centers, and other local organizations serving women in our community. These resources help spread awareness, share important information, and connect women with opportunities for breast cancer screening.

By working together with community partners, we’re helping remove barriers to preventive care and encouraging women to take an important step toward protecting their health.

We had plenty to celebrate at Rotary Rocks Chattanooga yesterday!

Three Thursdays. Lots of Stories. One Big Impact.

During September—Rotary’s Basic Education and Literacy Month— Rotary Rocks Chattanooga had the wonderful opportunity to spend three Thursdays in a row reading with elementary school girls through the after-school program at Girls Inc. Chattanooga.

Each Thursday, 1–3 of our members volunteered an hour to read alongside the girls, share stories, and encourage a love of reading.

It may seem like a small commitment—just one hour—but those hours add up. More importantly, they create opportunities for children to discover new stories, build confidence, and experience the joy of having someone invest time in them.
We’re grateful to everyone who signed up, showed up, and shared their love of reading.

And a big thank-you to Girls Inc. of Chattanooga for giving us the opportunity to be part of their after-school program!

One year of Rotary Rocks Chattanooga deserves a celebration!

We recently gathered at Hello Monty for our first anniversary dinner, enjoying a wonderful evening together filled with good food, great conversation, and, of course, cake.
It was a special opportunity to reflect on an incredible first year of service, fellowship, and community impact.

In its first year, the club has:
• Engaged members in meaningful, hands-on service
• Strengthened leadership and connections throughout the community
• Celebrated culture, friendship and fellowship
• Supported local students and youth initiatives
• Partnered with other Rotary clubs and community organizations
• Contributed to regional efforts with global reach
• Supported local and international humanitarian efforts
• Created opportunities for professional networking and personal growth

With more than 30 members rolling up their sleeves and serving throughout the community, Rotary Rocks Chattanooga is showing what can happen when people come together with a shared commitment to service.
Here’s to one year of making a difference — and to many more years of serving Chattanooga and beyond.

Last night at Rotary Rocks Chattanooga, we had the privilege of hearing from Jim Roxlo about an exciting upcoming service project in Guatemala.

The vision is ambitious: help create 2,000 sustainable jobs in Guatemala, creating lasting opportunities for individuals, families, and communities. It is a powerful example of how Rotary can bring people together to make a meaningful, long-term difference around the world.

We are proud to be part of a Rotary community that believes service can change lives.

ROTARY ROCKS CHATTANOOGA — ONE YEAR(ISH)

This week we had the fabulous Assistant Governor Gina Crumbliss join us and share some Rotary wisdom with our membership committee. Because even though we’re over a year old, we still appreciate a little adult supervision! 😉

Then our very own Katie Bailey took us along on her travels to France! She shared her experiences, adventures, and a little international flavor with us. Because apparently Rotary education includes travel—and making the rest of us jealous! 😂

Then we did what Rotary Rocks Chattanooga does best… WE GOT TO WORK! 💪

Our committees broke out and started working on our goals for the remainder of the year, all tied to the action plan we created. Because an action plan without action is basically just a really nice piece of paper.

And then came some BIG news from our Youth Committee!

We’re putting together all the necessary forms and paperwork to establish our FIRST ROTARY INTERACT CLUB! 🎉🧑‍🎓

Not bad for a club that’s just a little over ONE YEAR OLD!

So why do we do what we do?

Because Rotary is about more than meetings, meals, and trying to remember which committee we’re on…

We’re here to:

Six Rotary Clubs. One Chattanooga. BIG energy.

Our Rotary Rocks Chattanooga President and President-Elect were proud to attend the Rotaract Quarterly Full Club Meeting—and this one was especially meaningful.

All six Rotary Clubs of Chattanooga were represented in the room! 🎉

Alongside our District Governor, Deb Birdsall, we experienced something bigger than a meeting: we saw what happens when Rotary organizations across our community come together with a shared vision, fresh ideas, and a commitment to building something better—together.

The energy was inspiring. The connections were powerful. And the possibilities for impact in Chattanooga are HUGE.

This is what Rotary is all about: connecting people, developing leaders, and turning ideas into action that makes a difference in our community and beyond.
