🔔📱⌚️ Reminder on Cell Phones and Smartwatches at school

📱Cell Phone & Smartwatch Reminder for Families⌚

As we begin the school year, we want to remind families that cell phone use—including texting and calling from smartwatches—is not allowed during the school day, in accordance with our district’s Cell Phone Policy.

If your child wears a smartwatch to school, it needs to be placed in school mode for the entire school day. This means students should not be texting or receiving messages during the day. If students are using their phones or watches to text or receive texts, they may lose the privilege of having the phone/watch at school
We also ask that families please do not text your child during the school day. If you need to get an important message to your child, please call the front office, and we’ll be happy to assist.

Send Your Spare Markers Our Way!

PTO is collecting used markers for Pizza & Bingo Night! If you have markers at home that still have some life left, we’d love to put them to good use.

Bring them along during Connect & Assess and drop them in the collection bin on the table just inside the school entrance.

💜 All week long, we’re introducing the amazing people serving our 2026–2027 Clover Ridge Elementary PTO Board! 💜

LAURYN PETERSEN, PARENT INVOLVEMENT COORDINATOR

Hi CRE! I’m Lauryn Petersen, Parent Involvement Coordinator for the Clover Ridge PTO. I’m excited to continue in this role, helping families find meaningful ways to get involved at our school—whether that’s volunteering at an event, joining a committee, or simply lending a hand here and there. Every bit of support makes a difference, and we appreciate anyone who’s able to lend a hand!

I also serve as the PTO’s Social Media Coordinator, so you might spot me behind the camera at school events, capturing and sharing the fun happening around CRE.

My husband Tony and I have lived in Chaska for 5 years, and we have two kids at Clover Ridge, Clara (4th grade) & Anders (1st grade). We love traveling, lake days, exploring local parks and trails, and you can usually find me at the rink or ball fields cheering on my kids.

I’m looking forward to another great year at CRE, and hopefully meeting some new faces along the way!
