On Tuesday, October 13 at around 6:30am, 3 of our neighbors in the Victoria community suffered great loss due to fire tragedy. With such an unexpected occurrence, they are going to need financial assistance for any basic needs, clothing, toiletries, food, and possibly temporary housing. Victoria is such a great community, let's come together again with the help that is needed.

Helping Hands is a program that allows parent volunteers to help teachers with project prep, organization, and other classroom needs. Volunteers typically spend just 1–1.5 hours making a big difference for our teachers and students! ✂️📚✨

📣 Parent Volunteers Needed! 👂👀
Nurse Cassie is looking for parent volunteers to help with hearing and vision screenings on Thursday, October 8th!

Volunteers will:

Bring students from their classrooms to the screening area.
Supervise students while they wait.
No screening experience is needed—volunteers will NOT administer the screenings.
Screenings will be held for Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade students only.
📋 Volunteer Reminders:

Please check in at the front office when you arrive.
Bring your ID with you.
Review the available volunteer slots and click the button to sign up.

During the school year, we are going to have four opportunities for parents/guardians to join Mrs. VeLure and Mrs. Mulder in the evening for presentations and discussions on several school topics. Their first coffee will be this Thursday, October 1 at 5:30. Our topic this month will be the beginning of the year school routines and school safety. Please join us if you are able. We will be meeting at VES in the Makerspace.
