Cville Tool Library

Cville Tool Library Did you know that Charlottesville now has a tool lending library? The Cville Tool Library officially opened on March 19, 2022.

Library hours are posted here and on our website. Borrowing tools from a tool library means that you do not have the expense of purchasing and storing tools for infrequent or one-off uses. The project has expansion potential to include workshops, classes, and makers space. Our tool inventory includes basic home repair tools, yard and garden implements, ladders, and more - providing access for the

community to a shared tool collection. Our initial inventory was made up of donated tools, and we fill in gaps by purchasing new tools with funds raised through membership fees. Member fees are on a sliding scale, and we want everyone to have access to this valuable resource. View our inventory on our website:

and you can join NOW!:

Tool donations are accepted regularly, and we need volunteers to staff our lending desk, clean/maintain tools, and more - please let us know if you have tools to donate or if you'd like to join the tool library team:
